"Now that you're chunins , I've decided I'll give you both a mission to do " naruto says
"Only us?"Asks  shikadai
"Yes only you two "
"Whats the mission?"Asks Maeve
"This one"

"This man kidnapped the feudal Lord son , boruto saved him but the kidnapper got away"shikamaru says
"Any special jutsu we need to know about ?" Shikadai asks
"Yes there is , boruto said he was planing on eating the kid" says naruto
"E-eating him?" Asks shikadai
"Yeah something about him using the boy as a transformation jutsu " shikamaru says
"It's a kekkei genkai , it he eats the boy he would turn into him but not like the transformation jutsu it's more like he becomes the boy in all aspects and not even I who can feel the people's water and not even a hyuga who can see their chakra" Maeve says and they all look at her surprised
"I read it in my father's books when he was hokage" she says
"That was like 2 year ago and you still remember it?" Asks shikamaru
"Yes , do you have anything that belongs to this man" she asks
"We don't but you can asks boruto he was the one who meet him last"says shikamaru
"You two think you can handle the mission " asks naruto
"Yes sir" Maeve and shikadai said at the same time
"Great these are your uniforms , give me the report once your back" he says  and they leave the office

"Wow a mission only for us " Says shikadai
"Uhm" she says looking down at the uniform "I'll meet you here in 30 minutes " she says
"Yeah see ya" he says and they leave

"You think this is a good idea " asks shikamaru
"Which one?" Says naruto
"Well I know their capable of taking care of a mission like this bur what if they fail , you can have someone record that , it will ruin them" he says after naruto told him that he is having ino and shino supervise them with shinos insects
"As you said their capable,  that's why I want every village to know that in the leaf are a lot of young shinobi who are capable of taking care of the village " he says
"The next generation huh"

Shikadai was at the gate waiting for Maeve and it had been 5 minutes already when he sees her coming towards him calmly
"Your late" he says
"Sorry but a black kitty passed on the street I was walking so I had to go the other way to avoid bad luck on our first mission as a team" she says
"Really?!!" He says not impressed then looks at her uniform
" it suits you" he says
"So does yours " she says
"Thanks , we'll let's keep going then" he says and they start walking while the sun sets
