Troublesome Women - Shikadai Nara

You lied didn't you

It was almost night time
Maeve was just taking a walk around the senju park when she saw that shikadai was at the same spot they were two days ago but this time he had a board with him
" what are you doing " she said near his ear which scared him
"Maeve hey , I didn't hear you coming here "  he said
"What is that" she said pointing to the thing he had infront of him

"This is called shogi my dad gave it to me he said it will help me improve my strategy on fights " he explained
"Will it now ?"
"Well I think so , I mean playing it  is kinda like fighting in a battle " he said
"You need to find a way to win or you lose , here have a seat and let me show you" he says and Maeve seats infront of him

And shikadai starts to explain it to her
"Oh I get it " she says finally understanding it
"Great let play then" he says smiling at her

*After some minutes*

"Cheekmate" she says and shikadai looks at her shocked
"Are you kidding me , how , you said you didn't know how to play ?"
"Beginners luck I suppose" she says
"You lied didn't you , you knew how to play this game " he said
"I did not I'm just a fast learner and your a good teacher " she said and shikadai blushed and turned away
"Or you're just really bad at it" she said with this kind of face

"Hey I'm not , it's just Beginners luck like you said let's play again "  he says
"Sure it's not like I have anything to anyway" she says and they start playing again

**Three hours later**

"Cheekmate again " Maeve said
"Ahh I give up , instead of me , your the one whose getting really good at this "
"You still haven't figured out how I'm wining have you?"
"Huh , what do you mean ?" he askes confused
"The strategy I'm using is the same it's like playing tic tac toe , you go up on the left and them down on the left and then down on the right side then it's an end  game , you can win in two ways like this in the middle middle or in the middle on the left side , so if one is blocked by the opponent you win with the other one" she explains to shikadai who looks like he got her
"Ok let's play another one " he says
"How about tomorrow,  it's getting kind of late now " Maeve says looking in the sky
"Oh yeah you're right " he starts to pick his game together while Maeve gets up and starts walking
"Hey wait up ill walk you home" says shikadai
"Trust me I'm more capable to protect myself then whoever is gonna attack me" says Maeve
"Doesn't matter , I'll either walk you or my will have my head if she finds out" he says and they both start walking in silence till they arrive in front of Maeves house 
"Goodnight shikaday" she says before opening the door
"Hey same time tomorrow?"he askes hopeful to spend time with her tomorrow too
"Well it was fun beating you so sure why not" she says and enters her house
" Goodnight then" he says softly
