Nick helped Aurora clean up the wound on her forehead from Giovanna and their physical altercation."Are you mad at me?" Aurora asked as Nick soaked a piece of gauze in the saline solution.
Nick thought about it for a moment, deciding to put all of his focus on Aurora's forehead.
What could he say? He wasn't sure how he felt at the moment. All he knew was that his best friend was dead. Nick couldn't even scrounge up any sympathy for Aurora right now. He couldn't believe she had kept those messages a secret. It hurt him to think that she would be so naive and so careless with the lives of the people around her.
As for Grant, he didn't care if he wanted Aurora or if he just was simply doing this to get her attention. All he knew was that he was a psychotic son of a bitch who had murdered his childhood friend. When he saw him, nothing was going to stop him from giving Grant the punishment he deserved.
He gently dapped her skin with a soaked pad and patted the area dry using a clean towel. He applied a sterile dressing, making sure he applied pressure on the wound.
"Ow, Nick." Aurora purred as she reached up to feel the now bandaged dressing.
"You may need to apply some ice on your lesion before it gets too irritated." Nick threw away his garbage and turned to walk up the stairs.
Aurora sat quietly on the stool Nick had grabbed from behind the basement door. She didn't want to push Nick, especially as he's the one who had to cut his best friend's body down from a tree branch.
Bo came down and informed her that they went outside to try to restore the power, but all the cables were cut.
"What are we going to do now?" Hollered Iris.
Aurora could hear everyone talking from downstairs so she just decided to face the music, and descend up the stairs.
Quincey was the first to notice her standing there, murmuring quietly under his breath to Ophelia.
"We need to get out of here," Iris continued to shout. "I will not die here. And that is especially saying something if there is a psycho ex-murder out on the loose!"
She grabbed Quincy's keys and ran outside — the group followed her quick motions.
"It is almost midnight Iris," Nick roared. "Think logically. The cables are cut, the generator should kick in by the morning, there are no street lights on this road, we are all sticking together."
"He's right." Quincey walked over to Iris as she chucked his keys into the darkness.
"What makes him in charge?!" Iris continued to shout. "I will find a way out of here, even if I have to walk in the dark."
The only light they all had was from the lake illuminating the dock. From outside, you can see that the house was still lit from all the candles and multiple flashlights still turned on.
Quincey swallowed the lump in his throat, tightening his knuckles together trying to calm himself down. Why did she throw his keys? If it wasn't for Iris being his sister's girlfriend, I'm sure he would've exchanged some harsh... words with her.
"Are you mad sis?" Bo crouched down, attempting to search for Quincey's lost keys. He noticed his tires were all slashed. "Well damn. We won't be getting out of here anytime soon."
"What're you talking about?" Opheila stepped forward.
"Huh?" Giovanna tried to squint to see what Bo was talking about.
"All four of his tires are gashed," Bo stood up from the ground, walking back to where the group stood. "No power, no car, what now?" He looked to Nick for his assistance.
