Grant smirked at Giovanna as he looked from her to Iris's body that lay lifeless in the dirt.

"It's been a long time, Giovanna." said Grant.

"Not long enough." Giovanna sneered.

"You know, I was kind of hoping I would get you alone," Grant laughed, walking around her. "I wanted to see how angry you'd really be at me. I'm sorry about your little boy toy, you know." He slowly stepped forward towards Giovanna.

"You sick son of a bitch. I'm going to kill you." Giovanna was so mad, all she could see was red.

"That's supposed to be my line." Grant lunged for Giovanna hoping to catch her off guard.

But Giovanna already saw him coming. She quickly sidestepped him and spun around so her back was never facing him.

"It's really simple Giovanna, all I want is Aurora. I just needed to get you and all of your friends away from her," Grant pulled a knife out of his boot. "Especially that stupid dumbass boyfriend, Nick!"

The two were circling around each other as Giovanna tried to figure out the best way to attack him. She wanted him to pay. Giovanna vowed she would avenge Leo and Iris. She would make Grant suffer.

"You're not going to touch Aurora," Giovanna looked around quickly, finding a pair of fishing pliers in a bucket near the shore. "I can't believe you killed two people I cared about!" She screamed.

Grant charged at Giovanna with the knife and succeeded in cutting her side open.

Giovanna held her hand to her side, feeling the blood splurging. She managed to stick the fishing pliers in his back, making Grant squirt out blood.

"Ow!" Grant spoke as he was trying to get the pliers out of his back, but to no use.

Giovanna smiled, satisfied that she had been able to hurt him. She lunged at him with full force tackling him to the ground, making the pliers go deeper in his back.

Giovanna proceeded to punch her fist into the side of his face yelling, "Nick, Nick, he's over here!"

Up on the dock, Nick could hear Giovanna screaming from down the shore. He took off running faster than he's ever run before, screaming out for the others.

Giovanna punched Grant one more time before he was able to flip her over.

Once he had the upper hand, he wrapped his thick sweaty hands around her throat. He wanted to watch the life drain from her eyes.

Giovanna struggled against him, scratching and clawing at anything she could get her nails on.

She succeeded in scratching him across his eye. Drawing blood as it trickled down his face landing on her chest.

"You stupid fucking bitch! Did you really think that you would overpower me! I'm going to kill you, kill Nick, and kill every last person that stands in my way to get to Aurora," he squeezed her neck harder. "Just like I killed your puny bitch of a boyfriend," Grant laughed as remembered his first kill of the friends.

"You know he begged for his life before I carved Aurora's name into his chest? He never stood a chance against me." Grant became even more deranged as he lifted Giovanna off the ground and slammed her head back into the pavement.

Tears flooded Giovanna's eyes as she heard Grant speak about Leo. God, she wished she told him how much she loved him when she had the chance.

But this was it for her. She knew she either had to get up and fight, or die by the hands of a psychopath.

Unbeknownst to both Grant and Giovanna, Nick silently crept up behind him. He grabbed a kayak paddle from nearby and raised it over his head.

As he got closer to Grant he swung.
