Chapter Seven

Aurora awoke feeling thrilled.

Today is the day her and the girls are going shopping for their lake trip.

Ophelia was supposed to pick them up at 11:30 am to head to the train station. They all wanted to hit up shopping centers in New York, for a girl's day.

Iris insisted on going bar hopping while we are all there so that's definitely a possibility.

Giovanna insisted that we should all just get what we need and go back home, so that's another possibility.

Aurora decided to wear a ruffled pink two piece outfit with white converse shoes. She decided on a half up-half down hairstyle and put a pink bow in her natural curly hair.

Giovanna decided on white denim shorts with a black graphic t-shirt. She threw her hair in a slick back bun and paired her outfit with a pair of black vans.

Both girls headed downstairs, jumping into Ophelia's vehicle with Iris riding shotgun.

Iris was wearing a cropped brown t-shirt with white high waisted floral pullovers. She had her hair curled with hoop earrings.

Ophelia was wearing a long orange t-shirt midi dress and had her long hair blown out.

"I created a checklist of everything we need to purchase, anything else would be extra and up to you!" Aurora handed each girl a paper.

"Thanks Aurora." Giovanna grumbled as she folded the paper and put it in the front pocket of her shorts.

"This won't be necessary, Aurora." Ophelia looked at her through the rear view mirror.

"No, I disagree with Ophelia. I think that was a great idea, Aurora." Iris put hers and Ophelia's checklist in her crossbody bag.

We all decided that the train wasn't the best idea in case the girls wanted to do something else. We can simply put all our belongings back in the car and head to the city. So Ophelia started the car and headed towards Manhattan.

Iris said we should hit up Brookfield Place first.

The four of us walked into the store Cos Bar. It is a luxury cosmetic and skincare retail outlet.

Ophelia bought herself and Iris a cleanser and moisturizer.

Giovanna shook her head, gawking at the prices. Aurora couldn't help but laugh.

Next, we all headed to Lululemon.

Aurora purchased a fanny pack and two pairs of leggings along with a long sleeve.

Giovanna bought herself a sweatsuit.

"Can we just go to a target or something?" Giovanna scratched the back of her head.

"Yes, please." Aurora groaned.

"We can hit up Destiny USA, there's more simpler stores," Iris suggested. "Or we can just hit up the street stores."

"I don't mind wherever we go, there's a Walmart down the street." Ophelia piped in.

We all decided to walk to Walmart and grab the essentials — oral care items, hair-care items, and bathroom products.

Giovanna also bought a survival kit in case of an emergency. A crank radio, phone charger, flashlight, fire starter pack, 100 piece first aid kit, emergency blanket, and a water filtration bottle.

"Should we buy snacks?" Ophelia asked, walking by the food isle.

"I know you have a sweet tooth babe, what do you want?" Iris asked her, grabbing onto her hand.
