Chapter 16 - X790 and I Love You

Hi, as you can see. I am not dead. It's been a long time, to be honest I lost motivation a long time ago. A couple chapters away from being done with the story I kind of stopped writing. Randomly I got motivation to do this so yeah. S/o to anyone who still reads, feels like a lifetime ago since I wrote this, if the style changes it's cuz I haven't written in this story for like 3 years. I'll finish this out, already have the chapters written. Maybe I should've waited like 2 more years then it would've been 7 years since starting this story lol. Sorry to anyone who waited.

Rumors of Y/n's true power had gone pretty wild ever since the confrontation with Sting and Rogue two years before. With many speculating she had a power similar to the mage Ultear, using Time Magic. But Y/n, Wendy and the guild told everyone that it was just a weird coincidence and she had no power like that.

They both knew that if word got out of her power, many would seek her out, good or bad. They didn't want to involve the guild or put themselves in danger. But, it didn't stop them from running into a couple...weird people over the past two years. It also didn't help that Wendy was pretty famous too, and many would approach her to try to get her to teach them to be a dragon slayer, or try to fight her. But with all of that, they continued on, doing their best to support their guild and help each other.

*yawn* Y/n stretched as she slowly got up from the bed

"Y/n you woke up so late today." Y/n heard and turned to see Wendy already dressed up for the day

"Maybe you just wake up too early" she said and yawned again

"Y/n...are you having trouble sleeping?" Wendy asked looking at Y/n who had panda like bags under her eyes

"Mmm, maybe it's because you snore too loud" Y/n remarked to which Wendy blushing and began to apologize

"I-I do?" She asked to which Y/n laughed

"I'm just teasing you Wendy, you don't snore. I've just been having a little trouble sleeping recently...I've had a lot of thoughts and visions in my head which I can't fully comprehend"

Wendy quickly shook her head to try and get rid of her blush and got a little more serious, "Do you want to talk about them a little?"

"Mmm...I just feel like...something bad is going to happen. But I don't know what...my brain or powers are trying to warn me but I just can't put it together. Everything goes blank after awhile"

"Well don't worry too much Y/n! Both you and I are strong, and I'll always be by your side no matter what happens okay?" Wendy tried her best to reassure Y/n, she could tell that Y/n was being serious and was actually a little worried

"Mm..thanks" Y/n said, getting up and hugging Wendy and Wendy hugged back, "Well seems like you are ready, I'll get ready quick and we can go to the guild okay?"

Later

The two girls arrived at the guild and everyone greeted them like they had for the past 6 years.

"Hey Wendy, Y/n! Come over here for a sec!" The two girls heard Kinana say and the two of them walked over to the bar.

"Hi Kinana-san, what do you need?" Wendy asked politely

"Hey you two, so you actually got a job request. Well actually the requester asked specifically for just Y/n, but since you two are stuck together I assume Wendy would wanna go too"

"Just me? That's strange, I've never gotten a request for just myself, since many know that Wendy and I are always together" Y/n said taking the request and reading the details, "Hmm...Maybe I should just go myself"
