LISA
Three months later...
"Spread your fucking legs. I want in there," Dan says before she hears the headboard starts to hit wall.
Lisa has been there for maybe thirty-six hours but it already feels like an eternity. She's actually thankful for the loud banging and moans coming from the next room, it keeps the sleep at bay. It reminds her of being back in the foster care, only this time when she falls asleep there's no one to protect her. The irony of it all is the one person who used to be her shield is the reason she is trapped in that room—Lily. Lisa is not sure where her sister is, and she hasn't seen the other woman for days.
"Clean yourself up. You're working the VIP room tonight." The woman huffs at Dan's words, and Lisa hears them moving around in the next room.
When the Thai heard Dan's door open she holds her breath, hoping he won't come in there. That hope dies moments later when the door to her room swings open, with Dan filling the doorway, shirtless and with his jeans still undone. his jet-black hair is tousled, as if the woman had been running her hands through it. The idea makes Lisa cringe.
"Finally quit all that vomiting shit?" he says, strolling into the room. She can't help but push herself further into the corner as he takes up more space. The bed is pressed up against the wall and Lisa is only cornering herself more, but there's nowhere else to go. The only thing in the room is the full-size bed, a sheet, and some little pillows that have seen better days by the looks of it tearing at the seams. The only window in the room has been sealed over with bricks, which looks to be a freshly finished job. She is not sure where she is at or if it's day or night. All she knows is how she got there, and that's only in blurry pieces.
For the past months, things had been going okay for Lily and her. Lisa found a little studio apartment in a town just an hour out of the city. The building admin wanted her to fill out all these paperwork, but Lisa talked the manager out of it by paying six months' rent up front. She used the money she had from working for Jennie all those months. It took a big chunk out of it, but she picked up a job doing paperwork for a construction company shortly after. The lady in the office just paid Lisa in cash under the table, and she did odds and ends around the office for the woman. The woman fell in love with her coffee, the little coffee tricks she picked up from being a barista worked into her advantage.
Lily has been clean since she bailed her out of jail. They just needed to stay low until Dan forget about them. But it seems Lily ran right to him when she needed a fix. When Dan found Lisa walking home from work, earlier than usual because she was feeling a little under the weather, he quickly slammed her head up against the side of his car and he pulled her into the vehicle. When she finally came to consciousness, she was in this room and couldn't stop vomiting. She is still not sure if it was the impact of the blow that made her so sick or she already got a bad case of flu.
Dan follows her movements, and a sinister smile spreads across his face. The look makes her heartbeat accelerate. He's been leaving her alone for the most part, but he let her know Lily gave her up without so much as a fight. His words feel like an axe through the heart, because Lisa never thought Lily would ever betray her.
"Now don't be like that, Lisa. You wouldn't want me to bruise that pretty face. We are going to make a whole lot of fucking money because of that," he says, taking a few steps closer to her. The Thai pushes back against the wall in a pointless attempt to get more space from him. Which only gets her a glare.
"You're lucky, you know," he says, grabbing the sheet from the bed and tossing it to the floor. "You were supposed to be mine. But then I found out who she is, and what she is really worth. She's not just some rich dyke wanting a side action from a dirty hoe like you. Nope. You went and snagged yourself a billionaire. I'm betting she's going to pay big money to get you back."
