In the quiet Great Hall, you notice from out the window that delicate snowflakes are beginning to descend from the winter sky, creating a white blanket over the grounds. Sitting with Ominis at the long table, you can't help but feel a sense of peace in the air as you gaze upon the scene.

"Ominis," you start, leaning your head on his shoulder, "It's snowing."

He turns his face towards your voice, a small smile gracing his lips. "Is it? I wish I could see it."

"You don't need to see it to feel it," you smile, lifting his hand and guiding it towards the window.

"Mmm," he hums, resting his palm against the cool glass. "Perhaps we should go out today."

"That sounds like a wonderful idea," you beam, offering your arm for him to hold onto.

"Everyone always talks about how lovely the views are on a broom," Ominis muses, turning to face you. "But I've always had a bit of trouble using one."

A playful idea forms in your mind. "Well, maybe I can be your guide. We can take a trip on a broom together."

Ominis' expression changes for a brief moment before a genuine smile spreads across his face. "That sounds like a wonderful idea."

"Then it's a date," you nod, sealing the agreement with a warm smile. Excitement takes over in your veins as you follow Ominis outside. The winter air is crisp, and the snow-covered grounds are covered with a layer of ice, making the terrain a bit slippery. You take him by the arm and walk carefully, not wanting either of you to fall.

Once Ominis has his broom in hand, a confident smirk plays on his lips. "Ready to go, Y/N?"

"Always," you grin as he mounts it.

"Sit behind me and hold on tight. You're my guide. If you fall, I won't be able to find you," he says.

"Comforting," he grumbles as you sit behind him, securing your hands around his waist. The cold wood of the broom feels solid beneath you. Ominis waits, relying on your voice to guide him through the world he can't see.

"Okay, lift off," you instruct," and the broom responds to his touch. The gentle ascent sends a rush of exhilaration through you. A smile blossoms on your lips as soft snowflakes land on your face while Ominis navigates the sky.

"Which way?" he asks, his voice carried away by the wind.

You guide him with your directions, pointing out the towering turrets of the castle, the clusters of trees, and even the occasional fluttering bird. As you press your chest into his back, you relish the closeness, the way his broad shoulders shield you from the cold.

Silently, you revel in the joy of being with Ominis, the wind whistling past you both, as you soar through the air. You can't help but smile, despite the biting chill and the occasional drop of snow falling down your shirt.

"You're quiet back there," Ominis says. "Something wrong?"

"Nothing," you reply, resting your head on his shoulder. "Just happy."

"Happy?"

"Yes," you say, a warm smile spreading across your face.

"I'm glad. This is your first broom ride, right?"

"Yeah," you answer.

"How's it compare to what you imagined?"

"Better," you laugh. "So much better."

"That's good," he hums. "Then let's keep flying. Tell me where to go."

"Okay," you nod, looking around. "To the left."

"You got it," he replies, and the two of you soar a bit higher through the sky.

The two of you fly together for the remainder of the afternoon, laughing and chatting the entire time. It's an adventure for the both of you, a moment in which you're able to share something with each other that only the two of you have ever done. It's an experience unlike any other, and you wouldn't trade it for anything.

Once you get back into the confines of your dorm to warm up, Ominis performs a bit of magic for you. He conjures two steaming mugs of hot chocolate, causing a big smile to grow on your face.

"Oh my gosh," you giggle as he hands you a mug.

"Hopefully this helps to warm you up a bit," he smiles.

"I'm sure it will," you reply, bringing the cup to your lips and taking a sip.

As you do, he conjures a warm blanket around the both of you.

"This is perfect," you sigh, resting your head against his shoulder, enjoying the heat that radiates from him.

"Anytime," he smiles, leaning his head against yours.

"Today would be a perfect day for movies," you hum, thinking back to the days when you and James would

"What are those?" he asks.

"Um," you hum, tilting your head to the side in thought. For a moment you had forgotten how different the muggle world was from life in Hogwarts. "Basically, they're pictures that move. They're very entertaining."

"That sounds like something I wouldn't be able to see, though," Ominis chuckles. "But I'd love to learn more about them. What kinds of movies do you like?"

"Well, there's a lot of different types," you reply, a bit unsure of where to begin.

"Tell me what kind of movies you and your brother used to watch," he suggests.

"At this time of year we'd watch holiday movies," you shrug. "My favorite was always It's a Wonderful Life."

Suddenly, Ominis takes out his wand and conjures up a small television like James had talked about in class last semester. You smile as it materializes in front of you. Quickly, you rise to your feet and excitedly search your room for your favorite DVD.

When the film is ready to play, you cuddle close to him under the blanket. Ominis, blind to the visual spectacle, listens attentively as the story begins. He asks you questions, eager to understand the storyline, and you find joy in sharing this muggle experience with him.

As the movie continues, you steal a kiss on his cheek. "I'm so glad I met you, Ominis," you hum.

"And I'm glad I met you," he whispers back, holding you close in his warm embrace.

By the end of the film, your hot chocolate has gone cold and the room is dark. Your eyelids begin to droop and your mind grows fuzzy. You're not sure when, but you must've drifted off.

"Y/N," Ominis whispers in your ear.

"Hmm?"

"I think we should call it a night," he suggests.

"Yeah," you reply, your eyes not wasting any time to close. "You'll stay here, right?"

"Of course, my darling," he smiles. "Let's get some rest."

"Okay," you yawn, and before long, you're fast asleep. You could really get used to this. A whole week of having the castle all to yourselves.
