After lunch and your magical artifacts studies class the next day, you meet Ominis in the courtyard. As you walk out from the doors, a smile grows on your lips when you spot him.
"Hey," you say, smile growing wider as you approach him.
"I'm glad to see you could make it," he replies. "I have something for you. It's a little late, but consider it a late congratulations for beating Sebastian."
"What is it?" you ask.
Ominis hands you a small book. As you open it, you recognize that it is a field guide to all the different magical creatures you've seen around the school. "Wow this is-"
"It's nothing," he shakes his head. "It's mostly pictures and since I can't, you know, see them... I figured it'd be of more use to you."
"Thank you, Ominis," you smile up at him. "This is very thoughtful. I was wondering what those flying black horses were."
"You were?" he says softly now, as if whatever you just said meant something important.
"Yeah," you nod. "They seemed really cool. So thank you. I will definitely make use of this."
"I'm glad. Shall we walk?" he suggests.
"Yeah, let's," you agree, walking next to him. "Where are we going?"
"To hogsmede. I figured you haven't been there yet so I wanted to take you," Ominis tells you.
"No," you shake your head. "What is it?"
"It's a village where witches and wizards can go and shop. It's a place where they sell everything you could ever imagine," he explains.
"Sounds wonderful," you smile as he leads you out the gates of the castle and down a path.
"It is," he nods, his hand touching yours briefly.
"Back at home, we have places like that. But they're called malls or shopping centers. They're not as big as a town, though. Do you have those here?"
"Oh yes, we have them, too. Just smaller. You know, more intimate."
"Right," you laugh. "I guess not everything is different between our worlds."
"Not everything," Ominis says as your fingers touch again. "But enough to make things strange, I'm sure."
"I can't deny that," you smile. "So tell me, Ominis, what's the weirdest thing you've ever seen?"
"Weirdest?" He questions you. "In what way?"
"I dunno. Just anything that sticks out."
"Let's see. Well, there was a time when I went to Diagon Alley and I heard a group of kids talking about this thing called a... what was it again? Oh yes, a car," he laughs.
"You've never seen a car?!" you exclaim. "What? You're kidding!"
"It sounds like something out of a kid's fairy tale," he continues, "and I was surprised to learn that people actually ride inside those unsafe contraptions!"
