Atharva pov

There was a knock and the priest came inside. And he started seeing our horoscope.

"Grooms and brides horoscopes are matching. We can continue further. According to it, there are 2 dates. One is at the end of the next month and one more date is after 6 months." That priest finished.

"I think it's better if we fix the marriage next month. The second date is very far." Her stepfather interjected in between.

I would have refused just because of him but what to do even I can't wait to marry her and even the situation is also not right.

"Also say a date for engagement. It feels as though both are already engaged." My mother said smiling at both if us. The priest suggested a date in next week.

"Okay we will start the preparations from tomorrow itself." I said and after that everyone started discussing about everything.

But I wanted to talk with Aaru. She was looking so beautiful in that saree. This is the first time I am seeing her in saree. How can I get her alone? I will ask her the way for washroom then we can speak.

"Excuse me, where is the restroom?" I asked turning towards her. But before she can answer her stepsister answered me.

"I can show you the way." She said and bending a little almost showing her cleavage. Disgusting. Doesn't she have manners? For God sake I am her brother in law. How can she behave like this?

But before I can answer her, Aaru spoke in between.

"Don't worry I will show him the way. You must be so tired because you are working hard nowadays. So I will go , you sit and enjoy." She said giving her a fake smile.

Aaru was going in front of me and I was following her. I was amused because the whole way she was grumbling and scolding her stepsister.

She stood near the door and gestured me to go. I went inside and pulled her along with me.

I closed the door and pushed her towards it. And put my hands on her shoulders.

"Atharva what are you doing? What if anyone comes here?" She said. And she was glaring at me indicating to behave properly.

"No one will come. I wanted to speak with you."

"Is this the place to speak?" She asked folding her hands and lifting her one eyebrow.

"What can I do ? I didn't get any other ideas to ask."

She was shaking her head as though she is telling me she is already done with me.

"You are looking like a goddess. Words are not enough to explain your beauty. Your eyes. This kajal filled eyes is capturing my entire being. This jhumka of yours is moving like leaves when there is slight breeze. And this body of yours...if your body is a temple I will worship it everyday. While you are walking these anklets are making a noise which is so peaceful, it is a lullaby to my ears. I can get used to seeing you in saree everyday." I said.

I don't think English or any other languages has the words to express her beauty.

"Stop saying things like this. Or I may fall in love with you." She said. Her cheeks were red like tomato. She was looking at me or should I say admiring and looking at me as though I am her whole galaxy and universe.

"That's the plan." I whispered in her ear.

She kept her hands on my chest and lightly pushed me.

"Enough now come on. Everyone will be waiting for us." She said and went outside.
