Chapter 28

Aarohi pov

I was in a dark room when I woke up. I was tied to a chair with rope. I tried to remove it but I was not successful. There was sunlight coming from a small window.

Then there was a sound of opening the door and 2 silhouettes stood at the entrance. I was not able to see their face. Then they entered inside.

I was shocked would be a understatement. I didn't know what to think. I was feeling betrayed. I don't even know the reason why they would do this to me.

It was non other than Kriti and Mr. Singhania. I was hurt more because of Kriti. She was there with me through ups and downs of my life. But I didn't she would betray me like this.

I should have felt suspicious about her when she came to my office. I just sat there with a blank face not knowing what emotion to display.

"Surprise surprise." Mr.Singhania said smiling creepily at me.

I just sat there not saying anything. I turned towards Kriti but she just stood there staring at the wall behind me.

"Why?" I whispered mostly looking at Kriti. She hadn't said any word. I was waiting for an explanation that everything is a lie. And she had been trapped or something but she just stood there.

"Well it's a long story. But we have so much time." He spoke with a weird glint in his eyes. I think he is far gone. He needs medical help. I don't even know how I didn't see any of this. I think he was good at hiding or maybe I was dumb.

He pulled a chair from the side sat on it and rubbed his hand together as if he is ready to tell some tea.

"Well it all started when my younger brother, the apple of my eye, fell in love with a girl. His name was Vedanth." And stared at me. When he said that name my eyes widened. He was the same guy who refused to accept no. And almost tried to kill me.

Flashback

I was in my final year. And everything was going well. My grades was all good. But there was this guy who is asking me on a date. I don't get good vibes from him. I rejected him directly saying I am not interested. But he kept proposing me.

"Okay. One date. And if I didn't get any romantic feelings you should leave me alone."

"Okay deal." He said.

Then he took me to a near by restaurant. The whole date I was feeling uncomfortable with his stares. It felt as though I am his obsession. It felt as though he have gone mad and became a psychopath. But I just acted casual.

"Vedanth you are a good person. But I am not interested in you. Sorry we have to end this."

"What should I do to make you like me? I will do anything. There were many people who wanted to propose you. But what I did I killed everyone. No one can have you. You are mine" He said smiling at me.

After hearing that I felt scared. I should somehow escape from here.

"I did everything for you."

I don't know how killing someone is doing something for me. But I didn't say anything. I was looking for an exit to escape from him.

"It's late. I will go home." I said and tried to leave. Tried to. He held my hand and pulled me towards to him.

"You can't leave me." He said angrily.

"I-I wo-on't. " I stuttered trying to get out of his grip.

He then pressed hand kerchief to my mouth. After few minutes I lost the battle and succumbed into the world of darkness.

When I woke up I was in a room. After few minutes the door opened and he came. He was smiling at me as though he is my lover and bringing breakfast to bed. I just pressed myself to the headboard and tried to get away from him.

"Now now this is not way to greet me."

"I don't like you. Why are you forcing me ?"

He got angry. "You will only like me and love me. And no one else."

I tried running away from but he was faster. He pulled me and pinned me to the bed.

"You thought I would let you go. Not happening. If I can't have you no one can." He then tried to forcefully kiss me.

I tried to push him but it was not working. Then I found a lamp near me. I took it and smashed to his head.

He then held his hand and fell beside me. I took that as a chance and ran from there. And locked myself in my room. I didn't come out of my room for many days.

Then I came to know about his death. After this news only I came out of my house and started living my life normally. At least I tried to.

I would get nightmares daily. Then after visiting many therapist and doing everything they said, I found some peace.

End of flashback

"Then he chased that girl and promised her the world. But the girl rejected him. And his heart broke. Then he was not able to live with a broken heart and he ended his life. He got sad ending. But that girl is getting a happily ever after. So sad. Right?" He asked me.

Both the brothers are gone cases. He died because he was taking drugs and drank alcohol. Due to this he got in an accident.

"But then I wanted to know what is so special about that girl. I too saw her then I wanted her." He said smiling creepily at me.

One brother went now one more. Why me?

"We both will get married. Your friend here helped me a lot. I am sure she will help you with everything. Get ready we will be getting married. Soon." He said this and went out.

Even Kriti went out with him. I just sat there not knowing anything. After few minutes the door opened and Kriti with one more girl came inside.

That girl was having a big bag. She opened it and it had a red lehenga. It also has everything required like makeup and jewellery set. I tried to talk to Kriti but she refused to see me.

After many hours, I was looking like a bride. They made me wear that red lehenga and heavy jewels. And tied my hair in a bun. I was wearing the same anklet given by anklet. I hope he will come soon before it's too late.

Then that one more girl went outside. Kriti gave me shoes instead of heels. Before I tried to question her he came inside. He was wearing a sherwani.

"You are looking beautiful." He came caressing my cheeks. As though everything is normal.

Then he started taking me outside. Someone gave something to me. It was a paper. I opened it.

When I give a signal start fighting him.

I then saw who it was, to see it was Kriti. She blinked her eyes reassuring me. I then took a deep breath and went towards the mandap.
