I reached near the beach. As it was very late there were no people at all. I was walking when I saw a path made by red roses. I followed that path and there she was standing in front of a white screen. She was wearing a beautiful gold color saree. She had her hair up in a messy bun. When I went towards her she turned making me stop in tracks looking her beauty.
She shined like a bright light in the middle of the darkness. Her face glowed in the moonlight. And her eyes held a happiness which was shining like a star. Her face held a certain peace as though she have got everything she wished for. Words are not enough to express her beauty.
She came towards me and held my hand and took me towards the place she was previously standing.
We both stood there just staring at each other. Not really talking but our eyes were expressing far more words than our mouth could.
"I hope you liked all the surprises." She asked smiling at me.
"I loved each and everything you did to me today." I said. I don't think I can express how much everything meant but I hope my eyes conveyed it all.
"Well there is one more thing and it's last the one. For today." She said and went towards the projector which was in front of us. She switched it on and a video started playing on the screen behind us. It had all the photos of us together and also candid pictures of mine she had taken. She held both of my hands in hers.
"Atharva, you are the light to my darkness. You are the hope I found to live this life. You don't know how much grateful I am to find a person like you. I don't think I can express how much I love you. Yes. Love. I didn't know I was capable in falling in love until you came into my life. You effortlessly did it just being you. And I am thankful that I gave you a chance. This relationship a chance. It was always difficult for me to trust. But you were there with me. In the whole journey. And more importantly you waited. For me. I know you would have waited for me till eternity. But I don't want waste our life by waiting. We both deserve to have an epic love story. I should brag about us to our children and grandchildren.
They should grow up seeing our love story and even they should wish to have a story like us. I have expressed my love through actions. But now I want to express my love through words too. It took me this long time to express my love because I didn't not love myself. It's not possible for me to love you and to accept the fact that I am being loved without loving myself. You also taught me to love myself. And I am thankful for that.
I won't say this journey will be easier. But I can promise you one thing. I won't let you go when things get harder. I will stand by you and help you to grow as a person. Let's grow together. We will fight , laugh , cry and do everything together.
Everytime I am in beach. Alone. I feel peace. I found that peace in you. You are my ocean.(this one line is from a kannada movie).
