As you both continued down the street, the streetlights flickered on, casting a soft glow over the surroundings. The darkness seemed to amplify the sounds of your footsteps and the occasional passing car, making the atmosphere all the more eerie.

You stole a glance at Bakugo, his face illuminated by the orange glow of the streetlights. His sharp features were set in a determined expression, while his red eyes focused on the path ahead.

He was always so intense, so driven. It was both intimidating and admirable. You couldn't help but wonder what thoughts were running through his mind as the two of you walked in silence. Was he thinking about his future? His world? Or maybe he was just as lost and uncertain as you.

He didn't have to say anything to tell you that he was deep in thought. You wanted to ask him what was on his mind, but you knew he would find a way to snap it back at you. Instead, you simply followed his lead.

Bakugo walked on the paved path while you took the shortest way through the snow, he watched as you did. The fresh layer of snow soaking into your pants as you took fast paced steps.

Once you made it back to the pathway you shook the snow off of your shoes and jogged up the front steps, taking off your bag. You put your bag down on the ground and began searching for your keys.

Bakugo finally rejoined with you at the front door, glaring down at you as you shook your bag for your keys. Then they appeared, you took them and put it in the keyhole, jiggling and turning it at the perfect angles.

The door was now finally opened so you reached for the doorknob, but you couldn't ignore the presence behind you anymore. Turning around, you saw Bakugo standing behind you.

Your eyes widened in surprise of how close he was, he could've taken a step back but he didn't.

"Can you stop staring at me?" Bakugo asked with a scowl.

You snapped back into reality, quickly apologizing. But for some reason you couldn't help but smile at his antics.

Taking a deep breath, you turned back to the door and opened it, revealing the cozy interior of your house. The warm, golden light from the living room spilled out into the hallway, casting a welcoming glow.

You stepped inside, feeling the familiar sense of comfort wash over you. Bakugo followed closely behind, his footsteps echoing in the entryway.

As you closed the door behind the two of you, you couldn't help but notice the contrast between the cold, dark world outside and the warm, inviting atmosphere of your home.

And out of the warm atmosphere of your home came your mother. "Hello," she said, making herself known.

You acknowledged her greeting with a return of your own, "Hi, mom." You threw your bag on the ground, stretching your arms out as you kicked off your shoes.

"How was school?" She asked, picking up your bag.

You gave a small smile as you took your bag back. "It was fine."

"Just fine?" She questioned. "What did you do at least?"

You gave a glance at Bakugo who just shrugged and made his way to the living room. "School stuff, it's boring everyday things." You followed in the steps of Bakugo, making your way to the living room.

"How can you do 'school stuff' if you weren't at school?"

You stopped in your tracks, slowly turning around to look at your mother.

She knew.

"What're you talking about?" You asked. It was time to pull the 'play innocent' card.

"You know what I'm talking about. I went to go see your teacher for a conference and I learned you didn't even step a foot into school."
