The air was crisp and cold as you stepped out of the car, the winter chill blowing against your neck. You quickly opened the car door and grabbed your scarf, almost forgetting it.
As you wrapped the scarf around your neck, you looked up at the night sky, dotted with twinkling stars that seemed to dance in the darkness.
The moon hung low in the sky, casting a deep shade of midnight blue over the night. The streetlights flickered on, their warm glow providing a stark contrast to the icy darkness of the night. You shivered and pulled your coat tighter around yourself, the sound of your boots crunching on the snow.
The wind whispered through the trees, causing the bare branches to sway and creak in an eerie symphony. As you made your way towards the house, you couldn't help but look back just to make sure.
And there he was, right behind you was Katsuki Bakugo. You couldn't believe that it was true, he was actually real and was brought straight to you. At out of all the houses on this street, he crashed into yours. How could a million in one chance happen like that?
You held back a smile as he caught up to walk beside you, urging your thoughts on of how much more attractive he was in real life than on paper.
His hair was a vibrant shade of spiky blond, standing out against his sharp features. His piercing red eyes were always filled with an intensity that could strike fear into the hearts of his opponents.
But what truly set him apart was his signature scowl. His eyebrows were always furrowed in a deep frown, adding to the overall intensity of his expression.
"Who're you staring at?" He rudely asked.
You quickly averted your eyes, now noticing that you had been staring at him the whole time. "Nothing," you replied. "It's just that you never smile."
Bakugo shot a glance at you, "What's that supposed to mean?"
You stopped at the front steps of the house, your mother searching through her purse for her keys. You shrugged, not knowing how to answer.
"I can smile when I damn well please," Bakugo spat.
Your mother cracked a look from the side of her eye, she hated cussing when it didn't apply to her.
With the jingle of keys, the door opened; your mother letting herself in and leaving the door open for the both of you.
Bakugo grabbed at the chance to get in front of you, elbowing you as he did.
"Such a gentleman," you sarcastically said as you closed the door behind you.
And then it hit you, a rush of warmth enveloped you, thawing your frozen limbs. The familiar scent of home welcomed you, a mixture of cinnamon and vanilla that instantly made you feel at ease.
With an exhale of relief you were finally home, but you still reeked of the smells of the hospital. Bakugo let himself into the living room, already knowing the place like the back of his hand.
Your mother gave you a stare as if she was saying 'how does this boy know his way around my house? But you ignored her, as of now you were occupied of staring wide eyed around the house as if this was the first time seeing this place; the bright, fluorescent lights of the hospital had assaulted you of your eyesight and now you were beginning to get it back.
You kicked off your boots and shedded your heavy coat, reveling in the feeling of warmth spreading through your body.
You rubbed your eyes as you wandered into the kitchen, everything now becoming a normal tone of brightness.
