The limo was a luxurious oasis amidst the bustling city streets. The plush leather seats, soft music playing in the background, and the tinted windows provided a sense of privacy and comfort. But it wasn't, it never was from the start.
Aides, was sitting across from you, his eyes fixed on you as he sat there in silence. You had been sitting in the limo for the past few minutes, and it was an uncomfortable few minutes. You tried to avoid his probing gaze, but you couldn't take it anymore.
You finally asked, "Why did you ask me those questions if you were going to go there all along?"
Aides stared at you for a moment, a small smile playing on his lips. He then leaned forward, his voice low and serious, "I was hoping you were going to tell me so we wouldn't have to make that trip, but you're a loyal child, aren't you?"
You looked away, feeling annoyed and frustrated. You knew what trip he was talking about, the library was a short trip for him since he had his own limo, he didn't seem angry for the trip. You knew that he just wanted to play around with you, make you feel fearful.
You've been dreading going to 'The Bookstore', knowing that it could potentially turn violent in ways you didn't want to imagine. As the limo continued on its journey, your mind drifted back to the events of earlier.
You regretted not following him, this was your only task and you had ruined it. Bakugo may had pushed you away but it didn't matter, the separation is what put him in the most danger and you knew it. But now it wasn't only Bakugo in danger, it was you, your family.
Your stupid decision had made all these dumb mistakes, now your perfect lying had been challenged and you failed. But now your honor was being challenged, and it was your responsibility to succeed.
Your body still ached from the beating you had received while trying to protect Bakugo. The memory of the blows raining down on you, the pain searing through your body, made you clench your fists in anger. But you knew that showing any signs of weakness or fear would only make matters worse.
Suddenly the limo braked hard, making you fly forward. Your arms flew in front of you to brace for impact but it never came. Aides had grabbed you with one arm, wrapping it around your waist and making you gasp for air. He pushed you down right beside him.
You looked forward with wide eyes, wincing in pain as you held your chest. It was still hard to breathe and that didn't help. "Next time wear a seatbelt," he scolded.
You scoffed at him, "next time shut your ass up," you retorted, your tone harsh and filled with anger.
The glass between the driver and the passenger seats slid down and appeared behind it was a man, on his face was emotionless features as he told Aides, "I'll let you off here and I'll find a parking spot."
"Please restrain from braking as hard as that, whiplash isn't a good look on me," Aides responded.
The man nodded, turning his eyes back to the road as the glass slowly went up. Aides looked down at you with a smile, "let's go meet this 'Bakugo', huh?"
Your stomach dropped as you heard Bakugo's name come out from his mouth, you had did this. You were snapped back into reality when you heard the car door open. Aides had been opening the door for himself, stepping out and extending a hand to you.
You rolled your eyes at the gesture, slapping his hand away as you pushed yourself out. You gritted your teeth as a jolt of pain ran through your body to your legs.
Aides extended his hand out to you again but you ignored it, straightening your jacket and putting on a confident facade.
Aides closed the door and the limo drove away, taking a right at a corner. "Let's go," Aides said as he put a hand on your back, pushing you forward.
