Opposites Attract - Chapter 6 "This can't be it"

____________

"I love you Harry." I smiled to the cheeky boy next to me.

"I love you too babe." he kissed my neck.

He started making his way down..

I woke up from my weird but somehow interesting dream. Harry weirdly looked at me.

"Sorry. Just a dream." I say. "Okay" he says, "Go back to sleep." I hadn't realize it's still nighttime.

All of a sudden, some type of noise comes from the bushes around us.

I sit up, and Harry does the same. I give him a warning look, and he gives me a scared look. We look all around us.

We stand up, grab the most things in our hands, like defensive objects. I grab a spear, I shaved from a stick, and put it tightly in my hands.

"I think we're just dreaming." Harry comments. "Dreaming? You hear that too. We do NOT share the same dreams." I state.

It became silent. "I think we should separate. When the coast is clear, meet back here." Harry says. I nod.

I go around the trees, leaving Harry. I take one last look at him and leave. I run.

I ran to a lake I found the last time I explored this place. I sat on a rock. This was the most peaceful silence of my life.

I swear I heard that. Growl. I did. Grunt.

Then a black cougar, I think it's a cougar, came into my personal area. My breath was steady. I didn't move. The cougar kept an eye on my movement.

It became closer to me. I felt it's unpleasant breath filling my nostrils. I squealed.

I began taking small steps, slowly shifting on different rocks. Finally, when there was a gap between us, I made a run for it.

Phuck. It's too fast. I turned around to check if it was following me.

It caught up to me, it's wide jaw opening.

Then I fell into a deep dreamless sleep.
