Opposites Attract - Chapter 9 "I'm choosing..."

I wait until Roy comes back, I don't change into anything, actually I don't have that much.

I hear Roy's footsteps coming into the room. "Carmen-" Roy stops. "Why aren't you ready?"

"Roy, can I talk to you?" I ask.

"Yeah. Sure tell me anything." Roy says, sitting on the bed beside me.

"Y'know I've been with Harry since I've been abandoned here." I start. He nods lightly. "I'm leaving with Harry."

He freezes. He swallows. "Why?" Roy says. "Why him?"

"I've known Harry longer, and I can fully trust him. Going with Harry feels right."

•••Harry's POV•••

I stepped closer to hear what Carmen was saying. "I've known Harry longer, and I can fully trust him." I smile. "Going with Harry feels..." Carmen pauses. "Feels right."

I kept listening. "Harry is just different, y'know?" She says. Roy starts talking, "Yeah. Go along with him."

I could hear Carmen hug Roy. "Thank you." "Y'know I'll always be here Carmen."

I run back to the kitchen. "Harry!" Carmen calls. I stick my head out the door hallway. "Let's go." Carmen smiles.

•••Carmen's POV•••

It's almost night, and Harry and I found a place to stay. It was close to shore, easy to get rescued.

I counted in my head how long we've stayed here. I drew S.O.S across the sand along the shore.

It was night, and I was getting tired. Harry was too. "Let's go to bed, Carmen!" Harry chuckled, when he noticed I was falling asleep.

We laid next to each other, Harry pulled me close to his body. "Harry?" I ask. "Yeah, Carmen?"

"D-d-do you like me?" I ask. I freeze, "I-I mean as y'know, a frie-." I stutter. "Yeah." Harry says back, I could feel him smirk.

"Good cause I like you too." I say. Do I actually mean it, though?

That night I realized I fancy Harry. His glistening eyes just sparkle, and his amazing personality I thought would suck.

Harry actually isn't that bad. What blocks me is what happened during Freshman year. Even if he said sorry.

I mean, how could a guy like him, who's practically the most hottest and popular, like a girl like me? Who's a nobody, dresses like she's in middle school. That just doesn't work.
