Opposites Attract - Chapter 7 "Hey"

__________

I seriously thought I was gonna die. My vision faded when the cougar or somewhat animal came at my face. My voice shut down like a computer. But somehow I made it out alive.

I woke up in a small cabin, probably made out of branches. I looked around as I sat up. A door opened, and a teenager, probably 17 or 18, came in smiling at me.

"Ah you're alive!" his Australian accent spoke. He wasn't ugly, but he wasn't cute. I gave him a questioning look.

"Let me introduce myself, my names Roy. I didn't expect other survivors to be on the unknown island.

What's your name love?" Roy spoke.

"M-my names Carmen. Where's Harry?" I asked. "Harry? Is he a friend of yours?" he asks back.

"Yeah. You haven't seen him at all? Curly hair, green eyes, brown chinos?" I asked. He nodded no.

I sighed. "Sorry love, but your friend Harry could be anywhere. I mapped this island, it's pretty big.

Almost two and a half months to circle the island." Roy stated. I muttered, "okay."

I laid back down. "Would you like for me to show you around a bit? This tree house is a mama!" Roy says. "Sure?" not making sure if I should say no or yes.

We walked out of the cabin. Different ladders were pointed in different directions and the view was outstanding. The tree was pretty long, and the tree was on top of a hill, giving more height above us.

"The right ladder is to the kitchen, and the left ladder is to my room. The middle ladder is a view room, lounge, things like that." Roy points to each ladder, all the doors were open.

Even though it was morning, he still had torches and candles around. "Cmon, let me show you!" Roy grabbed my hand as he led me up to his room.

His room was amazing. I think it was the highest view of all rooms. And you could see around the whole island. "I'm speechless." I say, a smile creeping onto my face.

"Amazing, huh? It took me six months to build this." he says, sitting on his bed.

"Lounge now?" I say smirking, somehow. "Ye!" Roy says excitedly. My emotions were weird. They're were first sad, and now they're happy.

We headed up to the Lounge, and it was awesome. He had a viewing area, collection of stuff, and different animals in jars.

"Whooa." I say looking around. "Yep, best room out of all." he says.

We entered the kitchen, which was attached to a bathroom, and it was decent, clean and neat of course.

**

"Ew! No that's gross!" I screamed, as Roy took out the different colored lizard and put it near my face. Roy laughed. "C'mon it's not harmful." he smirked.

"Whatever." I say.

I looked at the snake closely as it too was staring. "BOO." Roy came up behind me and tickled my sides. "Oh my gosh! Stop! You've been doing that all day!" I laugh.

I'm saying it's probably twelve at night. Roy and I were in the lounge messing around. I've got to say, me and him are getting pretty close in one day.

I yawned. "Tired ey?" I nodded. "C'mon sleepy head. Let's get you to bed." Roy held onto my shoulders and led me to my room.

I jumped into the bed, and pulled the covers over me. "Goodnight!" Roy says, leaving me alone with only one torch and candle in the room. "Roy!" I called out.

"Mhm?" his face appeared in the door hallway.

"Stay with me for the night?" I ask. I miss Harry's arms. He smiled "Sure." he jumped into bed with me.

He moved his arm around my waist. He was a little more buffer than Harry. It became quiet, I heard his breathing.

"Roy?" I whispered. "Mhm." he answered back.

"How long have you been here?"

Silence.

"Almost two years." his groggy voice replied.

I made a small 'hm' back.

"Okay. Goodnight Harry." I paused. "I mean Roy, sorry." I turned away. He didn't say anything.

[ FLASHBACK ]

I pulled up the sleepy girl into the bed. She still was unconscious, and I had nothing to do.

I went down, back onto the island to get some fruit. Out of no where, a curly brown headed boy came into my distance.

"Have you seen a girl with blonde hair? Blue eyes?" he asks. I nodded no. I knew exactly where she was.

"I saw her run that way." pointing to my left. "Alright thanks." He ran off.
