that night you hardly got any sleep, tacking your mind over Itsuki's words, and Keisuke's actions.it seemed like your relationship with him was definitely more than friends, but you didn't want to jump to conclusions.
even after the two of you almost kissed.
anticipating your alarm to go off, you picked up the cellphone on the bedside table, going into the clock app to turn it off, rolling onto your back and staring up at the ceiling as morning light began filtering in through the window.
a feeling of tiredness finally washed over you after not feeling it the entire night, and slowly, you closed your eyes, feeling as if you could fall asleep instantly.
before that happened, though, Itsuki opened your door loudly and jumped on your bed, incidentally jumping on you as well.
"time to wake up!" he shouted, earning a kick from you.
groaning, he laughed, rolling off of the bed and standing up on the floor, throwing the covers off of you.
"it's way too early, where do you get this much energy?" you muttered, rubbing a hand over your face and sitting up.
he laughed again, going over to a mirror and flexing in it. "because i'm still used to being woken up early in jail; 7:00 a.m is nothing!"
rubbing sleep out of your eyes, you stood up and walked over to the tall boy, pushing him out of your room and going to close the door.
"get out, i gotta get changed," Itsuki flashed a grin before the door was shut, and you yawned, picking out an outfit for the school day.
finally ready with black flared low rise jeans and a baggy t shirt, you walked down the stairs, sitting at the kitchen table, mumbling out a 'good morning' to both your mom and Itsuki.
while you struggled to wake up fully, they conversed about Itsuki and his job hunting.
as they talked, you went on your phone, looking over messages from the night before that you hadn't answered.
Keisuke
sorry about last nightyour breath caught in your throat from the text, reliving last nights' events of him and Itsuki coming to you and your friends' rescue from the drunk boys, and you and Keisuke sharing an almost intimate moment.
as you typed out a response, Itsuki leaned over your shoulder and read Keisuke's text, evidentially noticing his name was now saved as 'Keisuke' instead of 'Baji'.
"let me text him instead." he started, reaching to grab the phone.
"no way!" you called back, standing up to get away from the older boy.
Vera
no worries! how are your hands feeling?Keisuke
goodyou sighed at the simple text, and opted to go to school, even though you'd be over an hour early.
it would be a first for you.
"i'm heading out now," you called out to Itsuki and your mom.
"so soon? school doesn't start for another hour," your mom replied, peaking her head over the corner of the kitchen wall to look at you putting on your shoes.
you shrugged, slinging your backpack over your shoulders and grabbing the skateboard next to it, saying one last goodbye to the two before walking out of the door, closing it behind you.
placing headphones over your ears, music blasted through them and you dropped the skateboard on the ground, jumping onto it and pushing with one foot to move.
