Baji's POV
it was almost 3:00 in the morning.
Baji was sleeping soundly, soft snores escaping his mouth. his foot hung over the side of the bed, only his lower half covered by the blanket.
a ringing of his phone sounded from the bedside table, slowly bringing him out of his sleeping state.
the sound went quiet after a few rings, and he quickly drifted back to sleep.
that is, until it rang again.
groaning, he slammed a hand on the table and tapped around to find the device.
picking it up, Baji lifted his head and squinted at the caller i.d.
surprisingly, it was Itsuki.
accepting the call, he rose the phone to his ear and spoke groggily with closed eyes.
"dude, what the fuck. it's the middle of the night."
"is Vera with you?" his voice was urgent, and almost fearful.
cracking an eye open at the strange question, Baji rolled into his back and answered in the same sleep-filled voice.
"no? why would she be?"
"she's not in the house at all."
at those words, Baji was fully awake. he sat up in bed, silver eyes wide open now and any sign of sleep from before gone.
"what do you mean? did she leave a note or anything?"
"no, nothing! i don't know where she went. the front door's unlocked though."
sighing, Baji stood up and walked around in only his boxers, stumbling in the dark to find some clothes to put on.
"alright, i'll meet you outside the park near her house in a few,"
Itsuki agreed, quickly hanging up the phone.
Baji scrambled around the room, grabbing his keys and pocketing them in the jeans he pulled up over his waist as well as his phone, throwing a hoodie on over his head.
the boy quietly left the apartment, making sure to not wake up his mother as he locked the door.
fear prickled in his stomach and made its way up to his chest, an uncomfortable feeling rising.
Baji hurriedly made his way to the park, luckily only ten minutes away if he rushed.
Itsuki was already there, standing on the grass and tapping his foot impatiently.
"yo." Baji greeted, keeping his mixed emotions down and fronting a calm demeanour.
the slightly taller boy nodded in acknowledgment, the two of them beginning to walk around the area in search for you.
Vera's POV
the shortest boy yelled from behind, while you and the twins were a good distance away.
