There was something about leaving Yuzuru's room that felt like a goodbye, and not a temporary one.

The numbness that she felt on the previous days was completely back as she returned to her room.

At least when she did enter, the woman was long gone and Akito was sleeping.

She was very quick to change clothes and get in bed, trying to forget what her fiance had done in the very same place just a few hours before.

As much as she tried to fall asleep, it seemed impossible given what she knew Akito had been doing in that bed.

Laying there for hours in a row, Izumi couldn't distance the thoughts of her decisions.

Even if she trusted her decision,  the feeling that she was making a big mistake was still there, especially when caving in and just letting things go would allow her to be with Yuzuru straight away.

Hours and hours passed of her self-depreciation. Truth be told, she barely even noticed when the light started shining in the room, indicating that it was already morning.

When the man by her side woke up, he hugged her waist and pressed a few kisses behind her ear. He either didn't remember that his side piece had left or he was in a better mood after cheating on her on the previous day.

"Good morning." Akito said, earning a mere hum in response. "What time did you come back yesterday?"

The sudden urge to reply *When you were fucking another skater * was for sure there, but she couldn't. Not when she had a plan to execute.

"Late. I'm not sure. The party was great."

"Glad you had fun."

"Yeah. You? Had fun too?"

"I just rested, you know? Traveling is quite tiring."

"Hum."

"I'm gonna pack."

"Sure."

Izumi just stayed in bed for a little more but eventually did get up and got her things ready as well.

"You want to order breakfast?"

"Yuzu invited me for coffee... you know, to say goodbye."

Akito smiled. The idiot actually smiled and Izumi didn't know how to react.

"Sure, that's understandable." he answered, looking like a completely different person.

Hadn't she caught him with another woman on the previous day, Izumi would now feel bad for even considering leaving the guy.

She now knew how fake this man was and everything made her question his intentions.

Despite her doubts, Izumi met Yuzu on that morning with her eyes showing just how little she had slept on that night.

"Hey" he greeted with a sympathetic look. It was easy no notice that his eyes showed the same that hers did.

"Hey... Good morning."

"I won't ask how you slept." he said with a small smile.

"Likewise."

"How did it go with him?"

"We only talked this morning but he seems like an angel. He genuinely surprised me by how sweet he was today."

Yuzuru gave her an awkward look.

"Weird."

"I know! I'm just so wary of everything he does or says... It's terrifying when I think about it"
