Joong, the CEO of JAA entertainment was fascinated by voice actor Dunk. He plans to recruit him as an artist but his feelings speaks more than that.

Dunk had not seen much of Joong the coming week, so he was surprised to see Joong calling him. He had asked him to meet up back at the same pub. Dunk sighed. He steered himself, reminding himself that he is his best friend and nothing more.

Joong finally opened up to Dunk. He first met Kapook when he was a rookie artist. She was also the reason why he was no longer an artist. He had an on and off relationship with her. She would hit on another but came back to him begging. She would always blame him for what happened after.
At first she would claim that it was because he wasn't famous enough, he was still a rookie artist after 3 years. When he became well known she would say that he had no time for her. He knew that it was a toxic relationship but she was his first. When she had suddenly disappeared two years ago, he couldn't understand why. He went into deep depression. Gene was a good friend who stood by him. But he could no longer find the spark in the work he did. He didn't know what to do, he loved the entertainment industry. He couldn't imagine doing anything else. It was Gene who motivated him to start JAA entertainments. He really thought they were done. She hadn't contact him in 2 years. He didn't know why she was back.
Dunk nodded as he listened. Dunk knew a lot about toxic relationship. He was in one. If he didn't have Dew, he didn't know what would have happened. Though Perth no longer saw the magic in Dunk, he had held on to him. He wasn't willing to let him go. Dew saved him from the living nightmare.
Maybe... just maybe, he could be Joong's Dew this round. Dunk hugged Joong, hoping to convey the support that he needed. When Joong stiffen in his embrace, he knew she was here. Dunk tried to stop him from reaching out to her. He tried to call on his logical brain.
It hurt, it hurt to see this side of Joong. He was as lost as Joong when he saw her reaching for another man's hand. He didn't know how to help him.
All he could do was hope that Joong felt his love through his hug.
All he could hope was that Joong knows that he will be there for him.
They may not be lovers but he is his best friend, he is his safe zone.

A/N: 😅😅😅 You might think this is absurd...why would someone continue a relationship like that... but I have to tell u, it's so real that I'm not even laughing. I can never understand the logic but maybe like what they say, love is blind.
Hopefully, Joong will wake up soon before Dunk leaves😥😥
