My eyes fluttered open, immediately falling on the busy street next to me. My head was resting against the van's window, the beanie and hood of the hoodie I was wearing acting as a pillow. Jack's head was on my other shoulder, his body slouched to compensate for the height difference. He was still sleeping soundly with his lips parted just a little.

We had stayed at a hotel the night before and were travelling to the next venue in a van. The east coast didn't exactly lend itself to a big tour bus when they had to be in the big cities. So, a hotel and a van it was. It meant we had to get up relatively early. Especially for me, it felt extremely early with my jet lag. But both Jack and I were exhausted. Luckily a van was a great place for a nap.

"Jack," I mumbled, caressing his cheek softly, "you're going to destroy your neck."

"What?" he yawned confusedly and sat straight again. Immediately, he winced and his hand shot to the side of his neck. "Shit!"

I heard Alex, who was sitting behind us, suppress a laugh. "You're getting too old for this, man."

But Jack was too sleepy to joke back. His body was still trying to process the fact that he was sleeping a few seconds ago and was now awake. He continued to rub his neck and tried to see how far he could move his head around. It wasn't very easy to look to the right.

"Next time, you take the window," I suggested, noticing that his other hand was still loosely holding onto mine from before we fell asleep. I gave it a little squeeze.

"Deal," he groaned.

My eyes fell back on the city we were in. I had no idea how long we had been asleep, so I had no idea where we were. The only thing I knew was that the entire journey was going to take just over three hours. I just didn't know which hour we were in.

"Oh, hey, look," Jack recognised his surroundings, still able to look out of the window next to me, "it's home!"

"Welcome back to reality," Rian laughed from in front of us.

It wasn't much longer until the van parked somewhere on the side of a lively road. There were multiple shops and cafés dotted around the lower levels of the buildings. The last two times we had been here, we hadn't had much time to look around and our days were spent inside a venue. This time, however, was different.

"Okay, guys, just make sure you're at the venue at one," Jeff instructed as he opened the sliding door from the inside.

Everybody started crawling out of the van and onto the bustling street.

I felt like a walking billboard. In my rush to come visit Jack, I hadn't taken a change of clothes with me. All I had in my backpack was a toothbrush, my phone charger, and some extra panties. I didn't even have toothpaste with me. So, everything I was wearing except for my jeans and shoes was All Time Low merch. The band's name was literally plastered all over my body. Maybe I was just a super fan.

I stretched out, reaching my arms straight above my head. Jack followed my movements and we both overdramatically bent to the left and to the right. We got a few strange gazes from people passing by, but we didn't care. Why would we? We already had each other to act weird around.

"Alright," Jack grabbed my hand and started leading me somewhere, "we're grabbing breakfast."

"You're not inviting us?" Rian shouted after us.

"Nope, I've only got Jacie for twenty more hours, I've got you for another month."

I didn't really get much say in the matter. Jack just continued walking. But then again, I also wasn't complaining. Spending the day with Jack, just the two of us, already sounded great. Spending the day with him in his hometown? Well, that was even better. I finally got to see a piece of him I never had before.
