I was sitting crossed-legged on the carpet, next to the coffee table in the living room. Next to me was a box that was nearly empty. It had been just over a week since I had officially moved in with Jack. Over time, we had managed to make space for my stuff, slowly but surely making my presence more and more known.

We were just having a quiet day at home that day. There was nowhere we had to be, and I had a day off from the studio. So, Jack and I were just relaxing and occasionally managed to do small tasks around the apartment. My particular task that day was sorting through photos and finding the best way to hang them up. Jack had taken an artwork down so I had some space to hang up the photos of friends and family we had collected.

It was quite a nice collection, if I said so myself. I had a photo of me with my dad and Ben, there was one of Jack with his entire family, and then there were many different ones with friends – a recent one before a night out with my friends, an old photo from Jack from high school with the other All Time Low guys, a selfie from when we went camping, a studio picture taken at Justin's, and a photo of me and Hazel at a young age with our faces squished together. Of course, you also had the many pictures of just me and Jack. In the middle of them all, was a large print out of the best photo taken at our forgotten wedding.

Although we had been extremely drunk, this photo didn't show it. Jack's hands were on my waist, mine on his shoulders. His lips were firmly on mine as he dipped me back just the slightest bit. Even my black floral dress seemed to have some sort of movement in it.

Satisfied with the layout I had made, I stretched my arms above my head and pulled out my phone. I opened the Instagram app and snapped a picture of the old photograph of me and Hazel, some of the other photos blurred in the background. To show my love for Hazel, I posted it to my story, knowing she'd absolutely love it as well.

As I was sent back to the home page, I got the most peculiar notification. Normally, I wouldn't have paid any attention to it, but something about the profile picture caught my attention. It was oddly familiar. I quickly tapped on it and it brought me to a picture from a year earlier. It was a simple mirror selfie I had taken in the bathroom I shared with Hazel.

The like disappeared just as fast as it had appeared.

I then quickly went to check who had viewed my new story already and saw the same username appear.

"Hey, Jack?" I called out to him in the kitchen. "What's your ex's name again?"

"Theo. Why?" he responded back, the sound of a plate being put on the counter finishing his sentence.

"No reason..." I trailed off as I went to investigate the account.

It was indeed her. Her name was clearly displayed underneath her profile picture. I could see she was still followed by one of the crew members I got to know when I interned on Jack's tour. Her short bio meant that I could see the last six pictures without having to scroll. Her long curled blonde hair was in every single one of them. The last one was a selfie that showed off chiselled cheekbones, then there was one with a couple of friends, and the others were mixes of posed pictures and quick snaps.

Curiosity got the best of me and I scrolled down with one quick swipe, making pictures flash by. Eventually, it stopped on the grid. Nested amongst all the squares was one of her and Jack laughing as she sat in his lap, back from when they were dating. So it definitely was her.

Alright.

I shrugged and left her account, bringing me back to my home page.

"She just Instagram stalked me," I announced, locking my phone and putting it on the floor next to me.
