One Step Closer to Perfect

and so it begins pt1

'I can't lie... I'm really scared.' Beth admits biting her bottom lip as she sits on a chair in the middle of their hotel room.

'Do you want to take a minute?' Vivianne asks as she rests her hands on Beth's knees in an attempt to steady her self while crouching down in front of her.

'No. I just- Just do it.' Beth replies shaking her head.

'Do you want me to count down from three then do it?' Vivianne asks causing the blonde to once again just shake her head.

'No. Just do it when you're ready.' Beth replies. Closing her eyes, she takes a deep breath and tilts her head back towards the ceiling. Within seconds she feels Vivianne pinch her stomach together before the slight sting of the needle as it enters her skin.

'Sorry.' Vivianne says softly as Beth winces and bites her bottom lip.

'It's okay. It wasn't actually that sore.' Beth replies watching Vivianne drop the needle into the small sharps bin they've been provided. Taking hold of Vivianne's elbows, Beth smiles slightly as she helps Vivianne to her feet before the brunette leans down to press a gentle kiss against Beth's lips.

'Ik houd van jou.' Beth mumbles causing Vivianne to smile.

'Ik houd van jou.' Vivianne replies. Standing up, Beth wraps her arms around her partner and pulls her close.

'And just like that our journey to our baby has began.' Beth almost whispers leaning her head on Vivianne's shoulder.

'Mm-hmm...' Vivianne replies.

'Ready to head to training?' Beth asks.

'First training session of the year.' Vivianne replies with a smile on her face.

'How are you doing?' Jonas asks as Beth walks towards him sipping some water.

'I'm good. We had our first injection this morning so officially started the process now. We got given the okay to go without monitoring until we get back home so we'll take it from there and know more about what's going to happen.' Beth replies smiling.

'Great. I know there can be side effects to the medications so if you need anything, a break or just a couple of minutes just let one of us know.' He says causing her to smile.

'I will do... Thank you, Jonas. You're being so understanding and that really makes my life a whole lot easier right now.' She replies.

'You don't need to thank me, Beth. Just doing what any decent manager who cares about his players would... Can I ask if the girls know?' He asks.

'A couple of them do. We weren't sure if we were going to tell anyone who didn't need to know but we figured it could be useful having a small group of our girls for support... Steph, Kimmy, Laura, Jenny and Leah know but that's it. We don't plan on telling anyone else until something happens.' Beth explains and Jonas nods his head.

'Conpletely understandable.' Jonas replies smiling.

'You've got free-time for the rest of the afternoon so relax and I'll see you at dinner.' Jonas says and Beth nods her head. She watches as Jonas heads off towards another group of the girls before continuing her way towards the changing rooms.

'Meadoo...' A voice says wrapping her arms around Beth's shoulders from behind.

'What you up to?' Beth asks smiling as the other blonde keeps one arm wrapped around her shoulder while moving to walk beside her.

'I think some of the girls are talking about going to the beach for a bit before dinner but I really can't be bothered going.' Leah replies.

'Wanna come back to our room and watch a movie? I don't really feel like the beach today?' Beth asks and Leah nods her head.
