note: this chapter is written slightly different from the rest but I hope you guys still enjoy it.
26-weeks-pregnant.
'So... I need to run something by you I guess.' Beth says as she glances up at Vivianne who is making her way into the bedroom carrying a cup of tea.
'What's wrong?' Vivianne asks placing the mug on the bedside table and sitting on the edge of the bed beside the blonde.
'I want to get another rocking chair for the baby's room... I know we spoke about just moving the one from Piper's room into the nursery but I just- Piper loves to sit in it and rock. Before I was on bed rest, it was part of our little bedtime routine where we'd just have a snuggle in the rocking chair and I don't want to take that away from her. So much is going to change for her when the baby gets here and I don't want that to be a huge one.' Beth admits and Vivianne nods her head.
'That makes sense... We can get another rocking chair, it's not a big deal.' Vivianne says smiling.
'I was thinking next week I might start decorating the nursery...' Vivianne says causing Beth to smile as the brunette gets into bed beside her.
'Mm... I'm sorry I can't help you with that, liefje.' Beth replies causing Vivianne to shake her head.
'Don't be silly... You did Piper's nursery by yourself, didn't you? I didn't help with that at all so now it's my turn.' Vivianne replies smiling as she drapes her arm around the blonde and pulls her into her side.
'Part of me still can't believe we're going to have two baby girls...' Beth admits and Vivianne nods her head.
'Piper is going to be such a good big sister, isn't she? I can't wait to see them both together.' Vivianne says softly as she kisses the top of the blonde's head.
'What time is Jordy bringing her back at?' Beth asks glancing at her watch.
'3... We've got about two hours or so.' Vivianne replies smiling.
'Fancy a nap because I feel absolutely shattered?' Beth asks.
'Mm-hmm... Absolutely.' Vivianne replies smiling.
29-weeks-pregnant.
'How you finding it?' Kim asks as she sits down on the edge of the bed causing the blonde to sigh.
'At first it was fine. I was just bringing different programmes and having naps but it's fucking shitty now... I don't want to just lie here anymore. I want to be able to get up with Piper or help Viv get everything set up for the baby. I feel so useless.' Beth replies shaking her head as tears fill her eyes.
'Oh, Beth... I know it can't be easy but it'll all be worth it when that little girl is in your arms, won't it? You're far from useless, you're growing a baby.' Kim says.
'Mm-hmm... It's just shit not being able to do anything.' Beth admits and Kim nods her head.
'I know it is... You're so used to being active all the time, even when you done your ACL you were still able to be up and about so this is completely different for you and that can't be easy.' Kim says causing the blonde to sigh.
'I'm just so scared we're going to lose her, Kim... Something just- Well something just feels so different this time round and I'm scared. I'm scared to get attached to her in case we don't get to bring her home.' Beth replies and immediately Kim moves to sit beside her and wraps her arm around her shoulders.
'I can't imagine how hard that must be, Beth. You need to stay positive though. This little girlie is hanging on in there and she's a fighter just like her mama.' Kim says and Beth nods her head. Resting her head on Kim's shoulder, the blonde sighs as she reaches up to wipe her cheeks.
'It's just so different from last time and I know that no two pregnancies are the same but I just- I didn't expect it.' Beth replies.
32-weeks-pregnant.
'You're like everyone's secret weapon, I swear.' Beth says smiling as she watches Leah climb into bed beside her.
'Viv is worried about you, we all are.' Leah replies shrugging her shoulders as she pulls the covers over her lower body and rests the tote bag on her knee before pulling out various snacks and placing them in between her and the blonde.
'I'm okay... I'm just going a bit stir crazy but I'm okay.' Beth says and Leah nods her head.
'Understandable... I don't know how you've managed it for this long if I'm being honest. I'm sorry Lia and I haven't been over more throughout the past few weeks.' Leah replies.
'Don't be silly, you've got nothing to apologise... I know you're always at the other end of a phone if I need you.' Beth says softly as she reaches over and pats the blonde's leg.
'Well you're stuck with me today... Lia and Viv have taken the kids to the farm and then are going out for dinner so I figured we could have a lazy day? Watch some movies or shows and then I'll get you something for dinner.' Leah suggests.
'You cook?' Beth asks raising her eyebrows.
'Well I did mean a takeaway but my cooking is getting better... It's edible now.' Leah replies causing Beth to laugh.
'Sounds like a good idea to me.' Beth says smiling.
37-weeks-pregnant.
'Guess what?' Beth says glancing at Vivianne as she runs her fingers through Piper's hair as the little girl rests her head on her bump.
'What?' Vivianne asks.
'I'm officially full-term as of today?' Beth replies grinning.
'Mm-hmm... You've done good keeping her in there for the last three months but she can come any time now.' Vivianne says smiling at the blonde who nods her head.
'And we're actually ready for her to come now... Are you ready to meet your baby sister, Piper?' Beth asks glancing down at the little girl.
'My baby.' Piper replies resting her hand on Beth's stomach.
'That's right, your baby sister... It won't be long until she's here causing all kinds of trouble with you.' Beth says smiling.
'I know the last three months haven't been easy for you but you have done bedrest like an absolute trooper, liefje. I don't think I could've mentally coped with being cooped up in the house all the time, let alone just staring at these four walls.' Vivianne says softly.
'Mm... It'll be worth it when she's here in our arms, won't it?' Beth replies smiling.
'It certainly will, liefje.' Vivianne says.
