#9: Hungry

Flug's POV

The laboratory was so big... It was bigger than my lab on the heroes' base! I'm also amazed at the displays and how the stuffs here are complete
So he's also not just the greatest villain of all time but also the richest one...
My stomach suddenly growled and realized I haven't eaten anything for a while
Welp... I guess it won't be bad to grab some food to eat... Oh I hope it's okay for my boss
Wait... Why did I became an employee again? Oh yeah.. The deal, I have no other choice but to work for him now
Besides, I kinda don't regret doing it so...

I then left the room then went to the kitchen and Dem was there, eating some cereals
I glanced at the time to see it was now 1pm then proceed to open the fridge.... and I was surprised again that the fridge are full of foods
"Ah ah ah, you can't grab any foods there unless you ask Blackhat first~" Dem suddenly told me, her voice was as if she was holding her laughter but I can't just assume, or I'll be dead

Closing the fridge then sighed in disbelief as my stomach growled again
"BAHAHAHA! What a loser you are!" She laughed as I just glared at her then walked away to go to Blackhat's office but I suddenly bumped into him in the doorway
Shit I'm dead
"L-lord B-Blackhat sir! I-I'm sorry for bumping i-into you!" I stuttered while giving him a shaky bow
"Whatever. Didn't I told you that you were supposed to be on your lab right now?" He asked while glaring at me
My... lab? My lab?!
"Yes, it's yours since you'll be working there so I just want you to examine the place more if it's enough for you"

"Y-yes sir! I'll be back there right now a-anyway but c-can I grab s-something t-to e-eat first..?" I hesitantly asked, still shaking of how scared I am right now
"Why ask me some unnecessary request? Of course you can go grab anything you wanna eat since you're living here now. I can't have a starving employee working to death and the quality of your creation will be low, are we now? So ask me another dumb questions or requests and you'll definitely regret it" He snarled which made me flinched in shock
I glanced back to where Demie was to see she was now already covering her mouth and holding her laughter
I glared at her, I really hate her but I still gotta need to endure it since I'll be living with them now...

"T-Thank y-you, sir" I thanked him as he just rolled his eye, I then went to grab some foods from the fridge
"Wait, what's your job again?" Demie started
"Scientist" I simply answered then opened some cabinets to see there was also full of ingredients and foods
I really am amazed..
Well.. Kinda same to my old home but mostly lacking some other needs
So living here is better after all
I then grabbed the flour from the cabinet then the other ingredients to make pancakes
"Your job is nerdy! Haha!" Demie exclaimed, I just ignored her

"I don't need to eat" Blackhat suddenly snapped which made me flinch again
"You're still into reading minds eh~ rawr~" Demie teased as I could feel Blackhat's aura getting darker
I just continued on cooking , hoping that I don't get involve because of her stupid act
"By the way, today's news was interesting" Blackhat stated
"Really? That's new, you were always not interested in news but still decided to get on with it" Demie protested
I then finished my cooking then sat down on the table with them

Blackhat then dropped a newspaper in the middle of the table, both me and Demie leaned in to look into it
My eyes widened in shock
"It's a shame how they only blame a certain hero and not everyone. Whose fault was it... The victims or the so called heroes?" Blackhat said while grinning
They really are a bitch... The other victim should still be thankful that I saved her ass and didn't even came back for a back up but she still blamed the heroes?! Especially me??
Well I'm not on the hero side anymore but I'm offended!

Blackhat then opened the tv and the news about last night started to show
We watched it for a while
"Oh yeah! I'm that monster they're talking about! They're talking about me~!" Demie squealed while I'm still looking disappointed at the tv screen and clenching my fists the whole time

"Aww the victim girl said that you didn't deserved to be saved~ Hahahaha!" Demie teased me
My eye twitched, I have heard enough, quickly standing up and left the kitchen
Now I have lost my appetite, I'm hungry but I feel like puking if I ever start eating after I just heard everything that offended me so much

"And where do you think you're going?" Blackhat suddenly asked, stopping me from my tracks for a while and did not answer him
I heard him but he was not here, I mean, he's kind of invisible somewhere, maybe through the shadows
"Weren't you supposed to eat?" He asked again but this time he was now behind me and tapped my shoulder with his hand which sent shivers down my spine

"I- I... I'm n-not hungry anymore" I lied until my stomach suddenly growled, I bit my bottom lip because of that
"I hate liars the most, Flug."
I looked down, still feeling the deep tension between us
"Heh, pardon me if I every made you feel down somehow" he sarcastically said while now slowly walking circles around me, I can feel him staring at me like I'm some kind of prey
"I-It w-was not your f-faut sir! I d-don't really b-blame y-you-"
"SHUSH" I squeaked at that

"They were right somehow at you being... weak~"
I stayed still for a while, still not making eye contact with him and still clenching my fists
"But you made me somehow surprised because you're already so much useful at the age of yours, smart as well. Which all I know, kids at your age, are still schooling and not working that much" he stated then now stopped in front of me, I now look up at him because of what he just said
