Chapter 14: Payback

(Clown's POV)

Today was the day.
Although it might not payback for all the things Vitalasy's done to me, it would still make up for part of it. Now this just had to be executed perfectly, and there's no hurt in having a test run to make sure the trap works. So I had messaged one of my only friends, Leowook to help test the funhouse, who happily agreed.
Branzy and I arrived at the funhouse and quickly ran a test on all obstacles and the traps. We had just turned them all off as Leo came walking towards us at the entrance.
               "Hey Leo! Glad you could make it." I directed at the pale white man.
               "Of course, though I don't think I could really say no to this could I?" He heartily asked.
I responded back with a smile on my face as I told him,
                "No, I guess not, but don't worry Leo, I wouldn't kill you, you're my friend. I just needed you to test this contraption Branzy and I have been working on for a while."
               "Right. So, what is this...tent? Is this like a casino? It gives me circus vibes with the colors." Leo said.
               "This. Is the funhouse," I said with a smirk on my face, hiding the actual intention. "It just has some obstacles powered by redstone, like a...theme park I suppose. Would you like to explain the rules, Branzy?"
With a similar smile, he said, "Of course! It's simple," he said to Leo. "All you have to do is get three tokens and return them to us, and you'll get a prize. There will be a chest holding one token in a room. The not scary room, the scary room, and the very scary room. All you gotta do is cross this parkour area and you'll find the rooms."
               "Got it. When do I start?" Leo asked.
"Right...now." I flipped the lever, starting the contraptions.
"Woahhh, that's cool." Leo said as pistons started to push blocks and pull them back in, making a parkour course.
Leo had a hard time getting across at first, but after a few tries he eventually made it to the next parkour part, magma blocks and fire, where'd he'd have to time his jumps carefully. This he also failed to succeed for the first few times, until about his 5th try. As he struggled to pull himself up, Branzy met him at the 3 rooms, while I went down another tunnel to get ready for the trap, which led into a deep hole, surrounded by black, red, and purple moving walls. I could faintly see Branzy's and Leo's name tags above me as they both walked towards the doors. Leo chose the not scary door, and as he opened it, I could faintly hear him say,
                "This is a bit trippy to look at."
He must've been talking about the walls, since they constantly revolved around in a cycle. After a while, Leo acquired the first token as he leaped back to the door to choose another door. This time he chose the scary door.
Now it was time to see if our work would succeed. We just needed him to fall into the death pit below as he tried to make a double neo to get the next token.
He made the first one, which made me a little anxious, but the feeling quickly dissipated as I saw his figure falling towards me. My smile was followed by a smirk as I said to Leo menacingly,
                "Welcome to the Funhouse, Leowook!"
Pulling out my sword, I swung down and killed him.
"Yess!!" Branzy and I shout in triumph.

The message appeared in game chat, followed by a few small messages remarking Leo's death. I sat there satisfied until Leo said through the call,
"Well that was fun, thanks for inviting me, Clown."
"Thank you for testing our funhouse! And remember our promise, Leo." I said back to him, referring to a promise we had set earlier.
"Of course, anytime. I'm happy to help you ClownPierce."
And with that he went back to whatever he was doing, leaving me and Branzy to call over our next victim, Prince Zam. Not only had Zam betrayed Branzy, but he had also scammed Branzy a few days before the betrayal. So he wanted some revenge. Little did I know that Branzy was hiding a sinister side.
"Oh I can't wait to see the look on Zam's face when he falls, I'll be laughing when I see his death message! He'll regret everything if he's done, maybe I'll even make another trap later on!" The purple eyed man laughed almost manically.
"Is this the Branzy that I know? What happened to the innocent and smart Branzy I met?" I joked.
"Oh, the other Branzy is still there, but this Branzy, this one wants revenge... death." Branzy said with an evil expression plastered across his face.
"I like this Branzy," I said smirking. "It fits with my facade as well, the perfect duo!" I added as I held my arms out wide as I dipped my head slightly, a sinister trademark of mine.
As we arrived back at the entrance of the circus, Prince Zam appeared, landing on the ground, enderian particles flurrying.
                  "Hello there, Prince Zam." I said sternly. Branzy's face also held a focused and stern expression.
                  "Heyy guys! What's this all about?" Zam said.
                   "This is the funhouse. Simple, but intricate. Filled with obstacles and challenges. Are you up for it, Prince Zam?" I asked the royal man.
He faced me with a smile as he said,
                   "I'm definitely up for the challenge! What do you have to do?" He asked curiously.
                   "There's three tokens you have to get from 3 rooms. One token in each room. Once you get all 3, you get a prize." Branzy told him, indicating to the nearby dispenser that held all the prizes.
                  "Oh now I'm definitely in. Can I start now?" Zam eagerly asked.
                  "You can start...now." I said, flipping the lever once again.
Similar to Leo, Zam struggled through the first half, which only gave me more time to get down to the trap. What was even better was that Zam chose the scary door first. As he prepared to jump, I pulled out my sword. Zam jumped, but missed only barely, falling into the pit below. He quickly reacted, pulling out a water bucket and clutching as he hit the ground. I smiled with an evil smirk as I said,
                 "Welcome to the Funhouse, Prince Zam!"
Zam tried to escape using his water, but it wouldn't be any use, as I swam up and quickly caught up to him. I blocked off his water, and jumped down as I watched Zam scramble and attempt to escape as he looked at me with a terrified face.
Dipping my head down again, I swung down once more.

                 "Yes!!" I heard Branzy shout out from above. "Finally we got revenge on him! He's gotten what he deserved!" He laughed manically.
                 "Don't forget, we still got Vitalasy to trap, Branzy." I shouted back to him as I sorted through Zam's items through the dissipating yellow fog.
I climbed back up to the entrance, and as I came out of the hole, I noticed some blood had splattered on my jester fit. No big deal, not like it hadn't happened before. But when I looked at Branzy, he had this look in his eye that only described pure evil and delight as  they shone with intensity.
                 "Vitalasy will get what he finally deserves. For what he's done to you, to me, everything!" Branzy laughed again.
                  "Let's not get ahead of ourselves Branzy," I said calmly. "We need to make sure things go to plan before we celebrate once more."
                  "Right. Let's call him over."
Branzy walked away and went to call Vitalasy, but before he went out of sight I noticed two snakelike lines at the edge of his left glove, one red, one black. What was that under his glove?
Minutes later Vitalasy came walking over to the circus. We went through the same procedure as the other two. But this time Vitalasy easily made it through the parkour. I scrambled down the hole to get into position for when he fell, leaving Branzy to watch Vitalasy. He chose the scary door.
This was it. All we had planned for. This had to work, it couldn't go to waste after all this.
And then he fell, and as he landed on the floor, struggling to get up after the hard fall, he realized his situation.
The next minutes were a blur of chaos.
Vitalasy had a pickaxe with him, and had mined through the moving walls, trying to escape. I ran after him, which led into a chase through a long but narrow cave. The cave ended in a circular room, leaving Vitalasy no choice but to fight me.
The purple man looked back at me with a terrified look, but a similar expression to when we last fought in the forest. But I didn't want to wait.
I leaped straight for Vitalasy, sword raised. He dodged the attack, placing cobwebs in my path. I landed in the sticky webs, but used my sword to cut through them, unfortunately giving Vitalasy time to splash potions on himself as he charged back to retaliate. He slashed down on my back, which luckily didn't do much damage because of my armor. I managed to corner Vitalasy after I had chased him around the cave. As I charged for him, he shouted through the call,
"Branzy!! I thought we were friends!! We're teammates!!!"
Branzy replied back to him sourly,
"We were teammates. And we were never friends, I only joined you and Subz because I thought we could be friends. But clearly I was wrong."
Vitalasy's last words were a blur of yelling as I slashed my sword across his body, killing him. His body dissipated into a dark purplish smoke as the death message appeared in the game chat.

We had done it. We had gotten our wanted revenge. Although Vitalasy had somewhat escaped, his time didn't last for long. As I climbed out of the hole once more, I saw Branzy smiling at me with a large grin on his face.
"We did it, Branzy. We did it."
"We really did, Clown. Great job." Branzy told me.
"Here's your deserved payment," I told him, retrieving a heart from my others as I gave it to Branzy. "Zam's heart from your successful revenge." I smiled.
"Thanks, Clown! You know, we could turn this into a business if we really wanted to!" He told me. I noticed the red and black veins slowly wrapping around Branzy's wrist, but then decided I'd ask about it later.
Branzy walked back with me to my house to help sort out our new possessions from its previous owners, gear, weapons, the most random things. As we both set down the last items into a chest, I smiled to my self as I told Branzy,
"You know, Vitalasy doesn't know what's coming for him."
"What do you mean, Clown?"
I laughed lightly as I responded,
"This... is only the beginning of my ultimate payback."

Hiiiii!! I'm back!
And here's your long awaited chapter... hopefully this makes up for the absence of time without a new chapter!
