At around 2pm,after many items of clothing being purchased and many snacks later, we arrived back at my apartment.
We were lazing around on the couch going through all the items we bought and giggling like two teenage girls. It was almost 3pm when my phone buzzed in my pocket. Taking it out I saw an incoming call from Melanie. I instantly answered.
"Hello?" I called out.
"Hey Aria! Is this a bad time?" I heard Mel ask cheerfully.
"Not at all. Is everything okay?" I asked popping some popcorn into my mouth that Maya had just brought out from the kitchen.
"Everything is perfect. I wanted to ask you to please head out either today or tomorrow to look out for some venues. Jason and I are flying over. We should be there on Wednesday afternoon. I know it's last minute but we won't annoy you if you're busy with University and things. But would you just head out to look for venues maybe?" Jason and Mel are coming?!! They're coming!!
"You guys are coming?!!" I exclaimed. "Oh my God!! I cannot believe you guys are actually going to be here! I'll pick you guys up at the airport. Yesssss!" I heard Melanie laugh at the other end.
"We will call you tomorrow or something to finalize."
"Don't worry, I'll head out with Maya now to do some venue hunting. You have nothing to worry about. I'll see you soon." I already was standing up and trying to put my boots back on.
"Thank you so much Ari. We'll see you soon. Love you."
"Love you too"
Melanie hung up after saying a quick goodbye. Maya gave me a confused look which I thereafter explained to her the reason of my excitement. She instantly agreed to accompany me in doing some research and heading out to look at some venues.
We both grabbed our bags and headed out of my apartment. After locking my door, I turned around and I saw Niall coming out of his apartment.
"Hey Aria." He greeted. He waved at Maya. "Headed out again?" He asked.
"Yeah, wedding venue shopping for my brother. You?"
"Just trying to find something to do. I have nothing else to do."
Maya looked up from her phone after she heard him saying that.
"Oh! I totally forgot. I have to meet Michael now for some lunch and things." She turned and looking at Niall. "Would you mind going with Aria?"
She did not just do that to me?! This is revenge, I know it. I did that to her when she and Michael just became friends!
Niall looked from Maya to myself.
"I won't mind. It'll be fun." He grinned, showing his perfectly straight teeth.
"Yeah...sure. Okay." I agreed unwillingly but nothing bad is going to happen right? Right.
Maya gave me a quick hug and waved at Niall, thanking him before she headed out. Niall and I walked out together into the Autumn air.
"I haven't really thought of where to go, to be honest." I laughed taking out my phone.
Niall just shrugged and took my hand walking towards the subway.
"Don't worry. I know this wedding planning shit. Just take a tube to a random place until you find the perfect location and then from there you go further to find an actual venue. We'll try going to more of the country side areas. It's beautiful there."
