Two weeks later I was sat opposite Maya, at a little cafe on our lunch break at Uni.
"So tell me everything that happened since I last saw you?" She asked excitedly as she looked through the menu.
I looked up from my own and smiled, nodding.
"But you have to do the same too."
She rolled her eyes and gestured for me to begin.
"Well, I told you about thanksgiving when I saw you. And then, well we left the day before Christmas Eve for Ireland. And we just chilled around for a bit. On Christmas Eve I spoke to Maura, his mom and she told me how happy Niall is. And just advice and stuff. She's honestly like a second mom to me. And then we spent the day together with his family and stuff. He looks so hot playing football, might I add." I smiled widely before continuing. "And then everyone went to bed or were chatting later that night and it was just Niall and I in the living room drinking some hot chocolate and we spoke about our childhood. I told him a lot about my past. And he listened. Like he actually listened to every single thing I told him."
"That's so cute. What else?!"
"Well we even spoke about that night when we were Urhm..."I trailed off. Maya started laughing and edging me on to continue.
"Well he told me he didn't regret and I told him the same thing. And then we just continued talking and things until I fell asleep or something." I shrugged. Just then a waiter came to our table to take our order. We ordered what we wanted and he left.
"And then Christmas morning came around and I was woke up by a little dude screaming 'uncle Niall' and jumping around. And then the cutest little girl came running in too. It's his cousin's kids. They're the cutest. And then we went downstairs to open some gifts. And Maura got me a whole load of stuff. And I met one of Niall's cousins,Amy. She's so kind and sweet. And then Niall wanted to give me my present in private so we headed to his room."
"Oooooo! What happened?!" Maya asked excitedly leaning closer over the table.
"He got me.." I showed her my hand with the promise ring he got me. "It's a promise ring. He told me I have his heart and he promises to keep me safe and be with me forever. Maya, " I took a breath. "I think he's the one." I sighed happily.
Maya squealed and jumped excitedly in her seat.
"I'm so so happy for you!" She exclaimed. "Did he like the gift you gave him?"
I nodded. "I have you to thank for that. If you didn't link me to them I would never have gotten them. He loved that gig. But I'll get to New Years later. After we exchanged presents we like chilled for a bit. Had a massive dinner and then we just cuddled and stuff. I hadn't had such a great Christmas like that in a long time. And then the next day he showed me around the town and he showed me this place like its a little stream and it was so romantic and cute. I'm in love with him, Maya. I'm so in love with him it's crazy." I smiled widely. I was the happiest.
Our food came and we instantly started eating. I ordered a sandwich and Maya ordered the same with juices. It tasted amazingly.
"I'm glad you're happy Aria. He treats you well. And I can't wait for the wedding." She laughed.
"That's still a while down the road. But then we spent the following days just chilling out for a bit and then that was it." I continued telling her about the happenings of New Year's Eve and everything. And our date a couple weeks when I spoke to Liam.
"But that's all about me. You and Mike! Tell me!"
She took a deep breath.
