Chapter 16

I awoke early the next morning. Today was the day Maya planned the big birthday party for Niall and I. I was really excited but I also remembered that I hadn't gotten Niall anything . I guess I'll go out now to get a good enough present for him.

I sat up in bed and grabbed my phone from the night stand. I scrolled through my Instagram feed for a few minutes and then did the same on Twitter. I tweet from time to time but not a lot. I went through my email checking if there were any changes for class on Monday and the rest of the week which to my dismay there wasn't any. I replied to an email about dance classes next week and then checked my text messages. There were two from Jason, one from Melanie and not so surprisingly 8 from Maya.
I opened up the messages from Maya and her ramblings about the party and the plans for tonight filled up every single message. I replied assuring her everything will be fine and that I'll be ready in time.

After much self motivation I got myself out of bed and went to the bathroom. I'll have to leave my run for today...again.
I washed my face,brushed my teeth and brushed through my hair. I decided to leave my contact lenses out for now and shower when I get ready for the party. I adjusted my glasses on the bridge of my nose and walked to my closet. I took out a pair of black ripped skinny jeans with a white sweater and my black Nike Roshes. It's the typical outfit for every university girl this season and me being me followed the trend.
I got my phone and purse and walked to the kitchen to get a bottle of juice and made myself some toast. I finished up the toast and the jive and decided it was time to leave to get started on my day. I slipped onto my jacket and took my bag putting in my purse and phone. I walked out,locking the door after me.

I looked towards Niall's door in hopes just some how I'd see him before I left but I had no such luck. I'll have to see him tonight.

I made my way down the street and I hailed for a cab/taxi. I told the driver where I needed to go and in ten minutes I arrived at the mall. I payed the driver and stepped out into the chilly September air. I ran a hand through my hair as I walked into a book store. I'm not sure Niall would want books to read but we were speaking about Perks Of Being A Wallflower and Niall told me he hasn't read it before so I could get him a copy of it. I decided my present to Niall wouldn't be one main thing but maybe a variation of different things. Once I got the book and payed for it I continued to walk looking through the windows to see if anything caught my eye. I past a store that sold these herbal and organic things. I get my coffee from here because it's delicious and I thought it would be funny to get Niall some coffee since I'm always getting coffee from him in the mornings when I run out.

I got three different types of coffee and payed for it,also getting one for myself. I might as well get some whilst I am here.
On my way to the next store I got myself a cupcake since I was feeling kind of hungry. Shocker.

I passed a music store and decided to look around for something. I looked through the CD rack and nothing caught my eye.

I checked out the vinyl records but nothing seemed to catch my attention either until I flipped over a James Bay album. I read that he released a new album a while back and I know Niall is a big fan of his. This is perfect. I smiled excitedly and went immediately to go and pay for it. I also got Niall two or three cassettes from the 80's. I knew that the perfect gift was completed.

I was surprised how quickly I got everything done. I decided to look around for maybe something to wear tonight or just get some random clothes. I headed to my favorite stores and looked around but unfortunately I hadn't found anything that I had liked.

I decided to just go back home and chill for the rest of the day. Maybe eat a whole load watch series, practically the normal.

I got a cab/taxi and headed back home. I unlocked my apartment and stepped in. I dropped the bags in my room and headed to the kitchen. I looked through my cupboards and didn't find anything appealing to eat.  There was a knock on the door. Tying up my hair into a messy bun I walked to the door. I opened it,revealing a cheerful looking Niall on the other side.
