Chapter 26

"Aria! Aria, baby, wake up. Baby.." I heard his soft voice, pulling me out of unconsciousness.
"Hmmm" I grumbled as I hid further into the covers.

"Baby..please. We need to have an early start to the day. Ari, baby, please." His fingers traced along my tummy,tickling my slightly.

"What time is it?" I mumbled as Niall
pulled me closer, my back to his chest.

"It's 10am. I want to be out of the house by 11, so we can have a full day. Please babe." I felt his lips on my shoulder.

"Give me a few minutes t fully wake up and then I'm all yours okay?" I rubbed my eyes and flipped over onto my back, staring at the ceiling.

"You're a difficult one to wake up aren't you?" He teased.

"You should be the last to talk. You and I both know I wake up early every day." I told him. "But good morning, Niall" I smiled up at him.

"Good morning, my love." He leaned down and kissed me softly.  He placed one hand on my cheek, the other still on my hip. My hands found their way wound into his hair.

A few minutes felt like hours but we finally pulled away, breathless.

"I could get used to this every morning." Niall said cheekily.
"Me too!" I sat up and tied my hair into a ponytail, before stretching and getting up.
"I'll be ready in ten minutes." I told him as I searched for something to wear. Once I had what I needed I made my way to the bathroom.

I brushed my teeth, washed my face, put I my contacts. I changed into a pair of jeans, and a cream colored sweater. I returned back to Niall's room. He wasn't there so I assumed he was in the bathroom. I brushed through my hair and braided it down my back. I applied light make up and grabbed my phone and my bag. Niall then walked in.

"Mom has breakfast ready. I ate already, I hope you don't mind. Whenever you're ready."

I kissed him on his cheek and made my way down to the kitchen.

I met Maura downstairs and she had already poured me a cup of coffee and had a bowl of cereal.

"Thank you so much, you've been so hospitable to me. I really appreciate it." I said to Maura.

"Don't mention it. You're family now,love. This is your home too now." She said sweetly.

I smiled, thankful I have a place that is home to me.

I finished my breakfast and met Niall in the front of the house. He was slipping on his jacket over a grey sweatshirt. He looked insanely adorable. He even had a beanie on his head. I slipped into my own jacket wrapped my scarf around my neck.

We both walked out hand in hand.

"Where are we going?" I asked looking up at him.
"I want to show you around the town I grew up in. We'll be back around 4. Does that sound okay?"

"Sounds lovely. Did you enjoy growing up here? It's beautiful." Niall smiled and squeezed my hand gently.

"I loved growing up here. We didn't have a lot, but we were always happy. When my parents got divorced, I was broken, so I spent a lot of the time outside the house. Running around, I found this place. It's not far from here. I want to show it to you." He wrapped his arm around my shoulder pulling me closer to him. A light layer of snow began to fall and it was clearly getting colder but I didn't mind. As long as I was with him I'd stay.

We walked through a field it was in the middle of no where, literally. There was a sort of a forest a few feet away. Niall held onto my hand tightly as we walked through the trees.

"Almost there babe." Niall said as we won tinier to walk.

Ten minutes later we came into a clearing. There were trees lines along a small little stream. But due to the snow, most of it was frozen. The trees had snow littered all over them, the ground beneath our feet was covered in snow. I loved it. Everything was so fresh and beautiful. It was different from the city. I loved it.

"This is so beautiful. It's breathtaking. You used to come here often?" I asked him.

He looked around and he walked with me to a small rock near the edge of the stream. He sat down and pulled me down onto his lap, his arms around me.

"There really wasn't a day when I didn't come here. Sometimes I'd come here straight from school. No one knew I'd come here. I used to hang out with my friends quite a bit but sometimes I'd just want to be on my own. I'd come around to read, listen to music, make some music too. It was my own personal space. When mum and dad got divorced, it was harder on me than Greg. I guess he was older and he understood. I was only 5, but later I understood more and the harder it got. So I'd come here and I'd imagine what my life would be like if they didn't fight all the time. Or is sometimes imagine me one day with a girl I loved. I always told myself, kind of like a promise," he took a few seconds to look up at the sky before he continued, " I promised myself I'd treat the girl I loved right. Mum and dad raised me that way but I always promised that once I loved her I would never leave. It's why I'm so crazy about love I guess. I wanted to prove a point and be with a girl for the rest of my life and not end up like my parents." He looked at me and smiled, a soft look glistening in his eyes. "And then I found you. With your argumentative ways, and sassy remarks. I knew I loved you from the minute we started arguing in class. I knew you were the one. And Aria, I know you still don't believe in love at first sight, because I know you don't trust me fully but I'm willing to wait. It's the exact reason I gave you that ring." He held my hand and fiddled with the ring in my finger. "I'll wait until you're ready. Until I gain your full trust. I love you with all my heart and if waiting is what it takes for you to be mine, I promise I'll wait." He kissed my hand and intertwined or fingers together.

He was extraordinary. No one has ever told me what he just did. I know I was hiding a lot of my past with him, and I know I didn't trust him just yet. But when he said those words, I didn't care one bit.

"I trust you. Today, right now, I know I can trust you Niall. You made me believe in something great. Something as amazing as love. You've shared so much with me, I can only do the same for you. I love the way you love, if that makes sense. I love how you're so passionate about love. It's something you believe in. You've waited your entire life for someone and I'm so grateful and lucky that I'm that girl. You're someone so beautiful and perfect. I don't know words to describe how beautifully amazing you are. You're wonderful. You treat me with so much of love, Niall. I love you so so so much. I can't ever thank you enough. Don't leave me." I wiped a tear that escaped whilst I spoke. I was so overwhelmed with emotion.

"I promise I won't ever leave you. You're mine."

And I believed him.

A/N

So that was short but I had other plans and then I started writing and this happened ...

The ending I wanted wasn't going t be what it actually came out t be but I guess this ending now makes you think a little ?? It's a bit of more intimate and sharing between the two.

A different insight to both their characters ...

She learns to trust him. and she finally does. And she believed him.

I may just double update if I can .. I probably will ..

also, I never really ever proof read these chapters... Like I just write and post and only later when I'm bored and I read through the chapters where I find errors , so please forgive me of my laziness .. Or point it out t me ..
