   TINA'S POV

I walk out of the school building and head for the car but I notice that it's not in the parking lot, I frantically search around the parking lot but nothing and I don't even have my driver's number, I am about to give up when I hear someone call my name "Tina!"

I turn around to see Deborah and Jacob standing next to his car "yeah" I ask

"Umm, your dad thought it would be a good idea if you hitch a ride with us" Deborah explains, and as soon as the words 'your dad' was leaving her mouth, I'm already hating the plan

I turn to Jacob and he is still staring down at his phone "no I'm good," I say with a smile but she continues

"You sure, your dad did tell the driver that you were coming with-" I cut her off before she could finish

"Deborah, it's okay I'll just wait" I say again, and she shrugs. I turn around to face the road.
Deep down I know my driver isn't coming and I don't plan on walking all the way back from school.

I hear Jacob's car's engine revving and I quickly turn around to face the car again, they are both already in the car "wait" I half yell over the engine sound, this is so embarrassing and it's all because of my annoying father. "I'll ride with you two" I look up at them, deb looks slightly bothered but Jacob as a straight face on.

"Then get it" he says harshly as he turns his direction back to the front of the car, I quickly get into the back seat and place my backpack next to myself, waiting for Jacob to start driving but he doesn't

Why isn't he driving already. I ask myself and immediately get the answer

"Tina, close the freaking door already" Jacob says and his voice rising by the ending of the sentence and I physically flinch from how loud he was, before realizing I left the door open and then I immediately shut the door

How could you forget to close the door. Don't blame me, I'm used to people closing car doors for me, but that was scary.

I bow my head in embarrassment. The car was going fast, like extremely fast. I think he's driving past the speed limit, he's crazy. I just hope we get pulled over by a cop so I don't die.

Everywhere is just quiet until Deborah breaks the uncomfortable silence by starting a conversation with Jacob and I use the opportunity to check my phone and text Tess. I bring out my phone from my bag and unlock it and then I see a message from Michael five minutes ago.

What does he want now?

I open the message. ‘I'm coming to your place, see you soon... girlfriend’

I internally groan and then text him back ‘stay away from my front door!!’, I have had enough of this dummy for one day

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

The car stops and I look up and realize that we are already home, I immediately get down from the car and shut the door, without saying a word I walk into the house and stroll straight into my room.
