Extremely short chapter for today guys
You have my deepest and sincerest apologies.
But yeah - this chapter has basically nothing in it and im out of things to add to it
so no special lore :')
this is ranodm but as i am typing this it is currently qsmp prison day two (which most likely doesnt mean a lot to you guys) but ALSO I've decided that yesterday (january 20) is gonna be my online/social media birthday. Its not actually my birthday (due to privacy reasons) but I think it would be cool to have a completely separate birthday that I can celebrate online w/ you guys :D
me and @TheLilBlueStar are planning on writing a Splatoon story together but we're struggling with worldbuilding so it'll be awhile until that happens, sorry to you Splatoon fans :)
anyway, enjoy this extremely insignificant chapter if you havent already gotten bored of me talking XD

Grian looked at his cousin in blunt confusion.
"Well? Do you like it??"
"It's, um..." Grian took a breath, trying to figure out how to put together what he was looking at.
Jimmy was wearing a bold blue, red, and white bodysuit with a letter on the front labeled "S". Grian had decided it would be best if Tim was to come over to his house first, just so Grian could check out his outfit.
It hurt Grian's eyes just looking at it.
"I thought it would be a little more... eccentric than this, if I'm being completely honest. It's too... I don't know, aggressive?" Grian said, not skipping a beat. "No offense."
"Offense taken, gosh!" Jimmy sputtered. "How do you want it then?!"
Grian sighed. "I'm only giving you advice. First of all, the Nexus aren't those flashy superheroes, they're guardians of the city, second of all-"
"Wait, did you just say we aren't superheroes, and then say we are superheroes??" Jimmy said, laughing slightly.
"You clearly haven't been listening, Tim." Grian said, scowling at his younger cousin. "Secondly, Nexus normally wear clothing that show off their wings and support the color. Your costume barely does either of those things."
"Playing it blunt, are we?"
"Don't try acting cocky with me, you know I'm already better than you at that."
Jimmy opened his mouth to speak, then closed it, crossing his arms. "Fine. So what do you want me to do?"
Grian thought for a moment. "Nothing we can really do about either of those things for now... can you summon feathers to your face? Like around your eyes?"
Jimmy took a deep breath, and...
Well, nothing happened. Grian was about to say something when golden feathers practically exploded out of Jimmy's face.
"Well that's... new." Grian winced. "Have you ever done that before?"
"I've never really had a reason to." Came Jimmy's muffled response.
"Can you try to... y'know, tone it down?"
The amount of feathers died down to a good level. Grian sighed in relief.
Due to genes, Jimmy wasn't given bigger wings like Grian, sadly resulting in him not being a very flashy superhero. "Alright, here's the plan. I don't plan on doing any actual work today." Jimmy's raised eyebrows fell. "Unless I have to, of course. I'm on the lookout for someone I met the other day."
"I'm actually excited." Tim remarked, and Grian perked up. "I've never been with you when you do hero work. Don't you have a completely different personality?"
"... not particularly from what you've seen. Due to the fact that I need to hide my identity, I act pretty much like how I am with you, not how I am as a thoroughly polite and serious professor."
"Oh. Okay." Jimmy said, but his tone sounded rather disappointed. "So who's this person you're looking for?"
"I'll know her when I see her." Grian opened the door, and the two walked out of the house, talking on the way.

the reason why i made this chapter is bc for this story i decided that each chapter would swap perspectives and this became a vow to myself so this chapter is kinda lame ngl
