Morning rolls around in Radiator Springs with Sarge playing the army theme and then Filmore following with his hippie music. "Turn that disrespectful junk off!" Sarge yelled.

"Respect the classics, man." Filmore said, sounding as chill as he usually did.

Mizuna's eyes gently opened as she sighed. She looked at the time on her phone and it said 8am since it adjusted to that dimension, so she decided to get out of bed. She changed into a casual pink t shirt that showed off her muscles a bit with some shorts that went down to the tip of her knees and some nice pink and black Nike tennis shoes. She then decided to put her hair up in a ponytail like she normally had it with a different hair tie since she had to burn the other one. She still had scars and was still trying to heal and she was at least sore. She walked out of motel room, and by that time, she was greeted by Sally.

"Good morning Mizuna. Sleep well?" Sally asked as she rolled over to her.

Mizuna nodded. "Like a rock. I'm still pretty sore though. The towns already gone quiet. Where is everyone?" She asked curiously.

"Court. I'm supposed to head there now. I'm sure you want to see your boyfriend, don't you? I heard he's been worried sick ever since he woke up." Sally asked curiously.

"Oh he is?" Mizuna then sounded concerned. "Obviously I want to see him, especially now." She says with promise in her tone. "Lead the way, Sally."

"Um..." Sally looked her up and down. "You want a ride? I wouldn't mind. Plus I don't want you pushing yourself again unless you have to." She says with concern in her tone.

Mizuna smiles and spoke in a reassuring tone. "I'm fine. I'll follow you. It doesn't seem that far for me anyways." She looked and saw the courthouse. She gestures for Sally to lead.

Sally nods and rolled slightly ahead while Mizuna walked beside her up to the courthouse.

"I hope everything turns out well." Mizuna says, breaking the brief silence between the 2. "I'd hate for something bad to him over a stupid mistake that can be fixed."

Sally gave her a hopeful look. "Doc is one I've considered a father figure. He's wise, so hopefully he doesn't put too harsh of a treatment on Lightning." She had a moment of confusion. "That is your boyfriends name, right?"

Mizuna nods. "It is his name. As for Doc, he seems a bit... impulsive. Like he's hiding something when it comes to racing. It's not my place to intrude on such things but it's something that came to mind."

Sally nods. "I wouldn't worry about it, Mizuna. He wouldn't let that affect his judgment in the courtroom."

Mizuna gives her an unsure look. "If you say so. You know that old car better than I do, obviously."

They soon approached the courthouse and went in.

"You're sentenced to having your engine put in a steamroller for the rest of your life." Doc said to Lightning as soon as Sally and Mizuna entered. (Authors note: I referenced the community service deleted scene since it's like having your life ruined since Lightning never got his body back within the nightmare)

Lightning looked nervous. "What?! No!" He exclaimed. "This town is crazy!" He snapped.

Hearing that, MIzuna's eyes went wide in shock. "Excuse me?" She says in a dangerously calm tone. "What was his sentencing again, Doc?"

Doc looked ahead. "His racing days are over, Mizuna after what he pulled. Not just to you but to the town too." He says gruffly. "I'm sorry."

Mizuna had a determined look on her face as she walked up next to Lightning. "And do you think I'll just stand back and let him receive the wrong punishment?"

Doc looked speechless as he remained quiet.

"Silence huh? That's what you have to offer me? Expected if we're being honest."

She had all eyes glued to her.

She looked at Mater with a smile. "Thank you for being his lawyer. I'll take it from here."

Mater rolled to be with the rest of the crowd and Mizuna took Maters spot.

Mizuna looked up at Doc. "Listen to me, grandpa. I'm setting things straight. I know Lightning made a couple stupid mistakes."

Doc interjected. "One you could've died from!" He snapped.

She crossed her arms as her eyes narrowed towards him. "Yeah no shit. I could've died without my healing coming into play. The good thing is I'm alive, and still healing. Snap at me all you want. You're going overboard with Lightning's punishment. You basically gave him the death sentence, and that's low. You're supposed to be the judge. A good example for this small town, if you will. Good judges give second chances to those that deserve it."

"Do you not think he needs to fix the road?" Sheriff asked her.

Mizuna looked over at Sheriff. "Obviously he still needs to fix the road, but the death sentence? Yeah fuck that." She says bluntly. "He's young and stupid. As for fixing the road, he has the most powerful engine in this town I'm sure. It makes him the most capable. I'll keep an eye on him and keep him company."

Lightning stayed quiet as he let her just talk.

Doc spoke up after remaining silent. "Keep an eye on him and keep him under control and you got a deal." He says, knowing he was wrong.

Mizuna looks at Lightning. "As for you, listen to me next time. That could've costed me my life." She says sternly to him. "And I wouldn't be in this courtroom saving your bumper."

Lightning sighed in relief. "I'm... just glad you're ok." He says, almost hesitating like he got a bit choked up with his words. "Thank for being here, Miz. I love you." He leaned into her slightly. "And I'm sorry." He says, with his tone being filled with genuine regret. "I'll be more careful next time."

Mizuna smiles as he leaned into her. "It's ok. It was a mistake. I love you too, more than anything." She says softly.

"Awww!" Some of them said, definitely seeing Lightning differently.

Mizuna blushed slightly.

"Court dismissed." Doc said. "Mater, get him hooked up to Bessie."

Mizuna let out a relived sigh.

Lightning gave her a pleading look. "Can't someone else in this town fix the road? Babe, we have a race to get to."

Mizuna nods. "We do, but I'm injured and I'm not gonna let you get away with not fixing the road. Thankfully while you're taking the time to do that, it gives me more time to heal. Besides, hotshot, I'll be with you the whole way. We're in this together." She says assuringly. She reached up and pet him on his roof, which made his engine purr, and it got more of an aww from everyone else.

It embarrassed him. "You're embarrassing me, babe... Stop." He says quietly so only she could hear.

Mizuna gives him a gentle smirk. "Shut up. You like it." She says in a playful manner where only he could hear her. "I love you. Go and get to work on the road. We can talk more about this later." She takes her hand off his roof.

Lightning sighs, giving her a smile. "You're right. I got this." He says with sudden determination filling him. "And I love you too."

Mizuna looks to Mater. "Hook him up, Mater. He has a job to get done." She said.

Mater nods. "Let's get 'er done!" He gets his tow cable hooked on Lightning and started towing him over to Bessie.
