"That's easy for you to say."

Lara stands opposite Seb, her eyes red from crying.

"I haven't done anything to you. Absolutely nothing."

"Yes, you have. You've rejected me, you're leaving me alone. I'll sue you. I'll ruin you."

She discovered one of his plans to leave her alone after the party too quickly, and now she truly realizes that Seb is letting her go. Maybe even sending her away.

"You can't just put me on the street. That's rude."

"I'm not doing that. I'm selling the house and leaving. That means you'll have to leave too."

"I won't. I'll stay here, then you can't sell it."

Like a child, Lara has been figuring out ways to make it as difficult as possible for Seb. Meanwhile, there's enough money in her bank account to buy something small herself. But she doesn't want that, it's not part of her plan.

"Lara, you can jump and cry all you want, I'm selling this house. Be glad you know now. You have a week to find something."

"So soon? That's impossible. You can't put me on the street."

"I'm doing it. And honestly, I can't even say sorry. If you want something? This house is for sale."

"You can't be serious. Buy this house? From you? I already live here."

"That only makes it easier, I would think. You don't have to move, pack and unpack or find something else. It saves time and money."

"And then? What will you do?"

"Me? I can go to my parents, rent something, or go to friends."

"I can do that too."

"Name one friend you can go to. You have no friends, nothing. None of your old friends are good enough for you anymore, and you haven't made new ones because they were either too dumb or not rich enough."

"So are you."

"I'm not rich, and I'm not smart, that's true. I should have broken up with you years ago. My mother was always right, you can't be trusted, you're a witch without a broom."

"Your mother never said that, never."

"No, not the broom part, that's mine. Still, you know very well that I'm right."

"Fine, I'll go."

Angry, Lara grabs the car keys and walks outside, her face turning red. She starts the car, making a loud, smoky noise as she drives away.

She returns only half an hour later. In her hand, she holds her shoes, her dress is torn, and her hair looks as if it exploded. In her other hand, she holds the car keys.

"Destroyed!"

Her laugh is loud and sharp.

"What's destroyed?"

"The car. I parked it wrong, and it ended up hitting a tree and sliding into a ditch."

"Damn."

Seb turns red. He looks at his almost ex, for a moment, he has the urge to hit her.

"I'll destroy everything to make you miserable. You don't decide when I leave, I do. Is that clear, you are nauseating little man?"

"I think it's clear, yes."

Seb has calmed down, there's not much more he can do than see what happens in the coming days. It won't matter much to him. Lara hasn't realized that the car is in her name, along with the insurance. He gifted the car to her. It's her problem now. The costs, the instalment, everything is hers. It was an advantage that Kaan told him about the bank cards. His girlfriend was just too dumb to leave a piece of paper with the codes lying around. Even though they were embedded in a phone number. It took a bit of searching, but after half an hour, he found the codes. She only had two numbers for four cards. The combination was easy to make, and with the help of the kind lady at the bank who recognized him from his photos, it went smoothly. Probably the fact that the soap's first trailer was aired last night helped too. He was prominently featured with his name and details.

People are willing to help those slightly more famous than themselves. It seems to radiate off. He still laughs about the hour they spent talking about banking and taking pictures in Thailand on a beautiful white beach there. The fact that he spoke Thai quite well due to his weeks there during his shoots certainly helped. Her parents were born there, now they speak together in a language that sounds miraculous to everyone else. A distance of more than eight thousand miles ensures that a bond is quickly formed here in the city.

After that hour, Seb knew what Lara had in her account, what insurances she took out on his life. Now everything is in his name except for the expensive things she bought. She gets those as a gift from him. In his eyes, the division of property has been handled neatly. Living together is also resolved when he moves to a different address than Lara. The only thing is that she still has to leave the house for the sale. But that's been taken care of too.
