On Monday evening, in half an hour, the soap continues where it left off before the summer. Bo is sitting on his favourite chaise longue. Kaan is at the bar, and Rick is pouring drinks in the kitchen. They came to visit Bo at his request, especially now that they don't work together much anymore. They have mutually agreed to be at Bo's house only by invitation. Tonight is one of those moments, especially after yesterday afternoon's stormy hours.

First, Dex shows up, asking about Seb. Not long after, a flushed Seb appears, shouting at Bo. He calls him all sorts of names, from dirty fish to rotten tomato, and everything imaginable without swearing. Even in his anger, as furious as he was, he still remained polite, even kind. When Bo thinks about it, he can almost laugh if he didn't feel so infinitely small due to the insults. And then the night he spent at his mother's house. That was the first time since he moved out years ago. That was a year after becoming a father. Now he was back at her place. It wasn't his intention, he was looking for Jasmijn and Esmee. Unfortunately, Jasmijn was abroad for work. So, there was nothing else to do but go to his mother. Surprisingly, she opened the door for him.

"Bora? What is my son doing here at this hour?"

"Mom, I'm looking for Esmee."

She looks him up and down for a moment, realizing that he doesn't look good, something terrible must have happened. It seems best to let him in, even if it goes against her principles. She steps aside and opens the door further for him.

After he enters, he goes straight to her bedroom and looks through a small crack in the open door. She sleeps on her side, looking so peaceful, so relaxed.

"First, come sit here and tell me everything. You were looking for Jasmijn? Is something wrong?"

Bo sits on the couch he knows so well from the past. As he looks around, he sees all familiar furniture. It brings everything back, especially after what he did to Dex.

"I hit someone."

"Ouch. Was it necessary?"

"In retrospect, no, I wasn't myself. I was scared."

"For what?"

"That I would lose someone."

There is a moment of silence, a mother seems to be thinking about something, while Bo only feels shame.

"Seb?"

He looks up, tears in his eyes as he looks at his mother. For the first time, she seems like a real mother.

"How do you know that?"

"Honey, a mother knows everything, even when you don't want to let it show."

"Do you mind?"

Now he looks shyly at his shoes.

"No. Bora, look at me."

With her hand under his chin, she gently turns him to look at her.

"Bora, I'm not shocked. I'm fine with it. I know what you're thinking now, your father. But you're so different from him. You know you're free to love whoever you want. Jasmijn, Seb, another man, or woman. It doesn't matter to me. It's your life, not mine. But I will always support you, in everything. As long as you don't do crazy things."

"That's what I did. I hit a friend of Seb. I thought he was taking advantage of him. It turned out he was just a friend, I was so jealous. It hurt. Here."

While he talks, his hands go to his stomach and chest. Then he gently sinks against his mother. She puts an arm around him and pulls her son against her chest. She softly strokes his hair and lets him cry. Eventually, she can't hold back either, releasing tears, not of sorrow but of a finally closed past.

Not long after, Bo decides to check on his daughter. He snuggles up to her and holds her without waking her up.

Now thinking of his mother again, he can't help it, he has to tell Rick and Kaan.

"Guys, you know, I have to tell you something."

The men look at each other for a moment, then sit on the other chaise longue, looking at Bo expectantly.

"I was wrong yesterday, I shouldn't have hit Dex, he didn't deserve it. It was because I was jealous. I was afraid of losing Seb, I think."

Kaan looks at Rick for a moment, who waits, still wanting to know.

"Why were you jealous?"

"Of them, I thought they had something together, that's why."

"Who were you jealous of? Or was it because he might have a relationship?"

"Both, but more of Dex if he had something with Seb. It suddenly hurt so much, unbearably."

Again, he looks down at his feet, waiting for a comment. It doesn't come. It's quiet. Then he feels someone sitting next to him, Rick.

"Bo, whatever it is, whatever you feel. Whoever you're in love with, it's fine."

With that, he grabs Bo and hugs him, gently kissing his forehead. Bo allows it, suddenly realizing what he might have missed even more. A father who can be caring.
