The End

~The End of the Year~

~Emma's POV~

Jay and Zayn hugged as he boarded the plane. They had developed a beautiful friendship that rivals Keegan and I's. They had gone from enemies (in debate) to best friends. It was amazing. Jay had tears in her eyes as he waved at her from the steps.

Vanessa and Louis have been dating on and off for pretty much the whole year now. Because of their personalities, they got into fights a lot, but they always made up and were dating again. It seems like a horrible relationship, but I think they loved the adventure. Before he boarded the plane he swooped her up in his arms and the nuzzled noses like cats before they had a long, passionate kiss. Then he twirled her around and bolted up the steps to the plane door.

"Bye, Vanessa! I love you!" He blew her a kiss and she pretended to catch it, a small smile on her face.

"Bye squad!" He yelled to the rest of us as he disappeared into the plane. I gave a small laugh at that. It was the end, and he still had a sense of humor.

Quinn and Liam are adorable. They sat in a quiet corner, just talking, before he got on the plane. Quinn, emotional and remembering how she lost Luke, was a wreck, poor thing, and Liam was trying to comfort her. None of us knew what he said, but he kissed her, gave her a long hug, whispered something in her ear, kissed her on the cheek, and walked calmly to the plane. He looked back when he got to the stairs and smiled at Quinn. Quinn waved back as Vee and Jay sat beside her and put their arms around her shoulders. As Liam was swallowed by the darkness in the plane, Quinn burst into tears again and buried her face in Jay's chest.

All the while, Harry and Keegan were completely making out beside me and Niall "Oi! Get a room!" Vee shouted at them.

"No one-" She nodded towards Quinn, "needs to see that right now."

Both Keegan and Harry smiled sheepishly, but without shame kissed once more. He whispered something in her ear, kissed her again, and hand in hand they walked to the plane. In front of the steps they kissed again then Harry boarded the plane.

They're gross.

Niall and I had already talked about this, and we knew neither of us wanted to say goodbye.

But we had to, and we knew it.

We had already done our big goodbye, the one with lots of tears and kissing and stuff. Here, I just had to keep myself together.

"Niall, I-"

He swept me up in a giant hug and squeezed me so tight I thought  I would burst. When he set me down he planted a kiss on my forehead and looked into my eyes.

"Emma, just remember you are loved. I love you, however far away we are."

We kissed, a beautiful, magical thing, and then he was swept away from me and slipped through my fingers like dust.

That night, the other four girls and I had a sleepover at my house. My fridge and freezer was stuffed full of ice cream and two-liter bottles of Dr. Pepper.

It was truly the end.
