Svetlana's POV
I feel like something is not right.
I've killed many of the enemies but I don't feel like I've achieved anything. I look down on my bloody hands and sigh. It's been a week since I being off radar. Normally I wouldn't be missing anyone but somehow now I am.
"Lana, what's wrong?"
I turned my attention to one of my partner in this mission.
"Look at my hands- I don't feel any satisfaction at all like I used to. Is this a sign for me to retired? I even cut off a limb from one of the enemies who attacked us. I feel dull."
Everyone were shaking their head.
"You went on a frenzy and yet you said you felt dull? That's not the truth, is it?"
I sighed. But I feel like I'm losing my touch. Have I grown from assassination?
"Anyway, there's a message from headquarters. It says-"
What does the message says?
"Someone named Aurora was found unconscious and she is not being treated at the hospital. This message was sent a week ago."
Huh? Aurora was found unconscious? What happened to her? Is that why I feel anxious? Because we couldn't get the message a little sooner?
"Turn off the communicator. It seems they have found us."
I clicked my tongue in annoyance. We stood there without moving even an inch just to listen to any sort of movement from the enemy. We have been camping in this forest for almost a week, not leaving any of our traces behind. But our enemies this time are mercenary hired by our target.
Should we kill them all before moving to the next location? I gave the others my signal, telling them they are free to kill the enemies. They understood and get their weapon of choice ready.
In matter of seconds, the once green leaves and brown mud are covered in blood.
"Lana, what's next on the agenda?"
Isn't it obvious?
"Kill the target."
Two weeks later,
I've been a way for far too long. When I manage to contact Blanca this morning, she said she will be waiting for me at the hospital. I wonder as I drove to the hospital- aurora has been in the hospital for almost three weeks.
Is she okay? I thought it was a common cold or because she neglected herself because of the exams she has to take. But when I arrived, Blanca told me something else.
"Aurora had suffered a miscarriage. She now now in observation for her mental state. So please, when you went to see her later, be gentle."
Aurora suffered a miscarriage? She was pregnant? With my child? I- I should have been here for her. I-
"And it wasn't an accident. I've been gathering information regarding those who involve in this case. I-"
I stopped Blanca from continue.
"So you knew who hurt her? Tell me their names- no. Tell me their family name. There's no reason for us to be holding ourself back, right? Those people made an enemy out of us while we didn't do anything to hurt anyone. Kill them- torture them all."
Blanca tried to calm me down but is it even possible to do so? Wait-
"What happened to the bodyguards that were assigned to protect her? What were they doing when Aurora was in trouble?"
