Chapter 48 - Lost Cause

Third Person POV

"I wonder if Aurora would like to wear something as extravagant as that pearl necklace."

Svetlana was looking for rings at a jewellery store when something unexpected happened. A group of armed men suddenly barged into the entrance and tried to robbed the the store.

Those men push another customer to the floor and shouted at the rest to follow their instructions. Svetlana smiled as adrenaline poured into her chest. Some might think she's crazy for been excited for being in guna point but that's just how Svetlana is.

Since she was little, she has been exposed to to violence and for her it's normal to be in such situation where life is put at stakes.

Svetlana was curious and decided to act like a weak and clueless woman as she followed the robber's instruction. Svetlana continue to watched as how the robbers intend to thretened the store owner who had already press the emergency button that would alerted the authorities.

Svetlana sigh as she witness how pathetic the robbers are.

"Excuse me, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but the police is probably on its way now. You all should do whatever you all need to do now instead of talking bullshit about killing us. We all know you wouldn't be able to do shit."

The other customers were stunned by what Svetlana had said to the robbers. 

"What the fuck are you saying to the robbers?! They might actually kill us!"

Said a man sitting next to Svetlana.

"I'm telling yah, they won't. Because they're a bunch of idiots who think they could make it big as criminals. But let me tell you- these wannabe won't be able to kill anyone with their shaky hands. Tell me- who told you guys to come and robbed the store?"

The robbers look at each other before one of them aiming a gun at Svetlana.

"Really? You're going to shoot me? Do it. Pulled the trigger."

Svetlana grabbed a hold of the robber's hand and aimed the tip of the gun on her forehead.

"Pull the trigger. Come on- I know you can do it. Pull the fucking trigger!"

Svetlana snapped at the robber who dropped the gun on the floor. Svetlana was genuinely dissapointed by the man's action.

"Ugh- I thought you would be a better criminal. But hey, it's okay. You'll be able to learn the moment you gets into jail. Trust me on that."

Svetlana smiled before grabbing the robber's hand, twist it around before pushing him hard towards one of the display case and literally smashing his head on the glass.

"One down, three more to go."

Svetlana smirked at the other robbers who now has took out their hidden weapon.

"A pocket knife? Really? Do you know how easy it is for me to kill you with my bare hands?"

The man trembling in fear as he tried to act tough in front of Svetlana. Svetlana stomp her feet forward before simply slapping the man's hand. She laughed as the robber seems confused to what just happened.

"Take this!"

One of the robbers tried to hit Svetlana at the back of her head using a baseball bat but she manage to duck, ball her fist before pinching the robber's gut as hard as she could. The man falls on the floor before curled himself like a newborn baby while groaning in pain.

Svetlana sighed before she faces the last man standing. She smirk before taking a few steps forward. The man is scared for his life.

"For you to rob this store today- how unlucky can you be? But hey, at least I'm having fun."

Svetlana grabbed a hold of the man's collar before slammed his back against the wall.

"And here I thought I could get some rest from work."

As Svetlana took care of the robber with her bare hands, she notice a ring that Blanca might like.

"Blanca might like that. She is a fan of diamonds after all."

Svetlana grabbed a hold of the robber's head before smashing it onto the glass display case. The robber immediately went unconscious while the other two are trying to get their friends and flee the scene when the police finally show up.

"Police! Hands in the air!"

The police were shocked to see what happened inside the store. Svetlana smiled before waving her hands at the officers. One of the officers sighed before telling Svetlana to step away from the scene.

Svetlana fake a gasp as the officers treated her like a criminal instead of the robbers. The moment the officer and Svetlana are alone, he turned to face the person he scared the most and said,

"Luckily you didn't go on and kill them. I see you've been practicing self restraint from letting your desire to kill to forever controlling your life. I'm proud of you, Svetlana."

Svetlana gave the man a look before telling him to do his job properly.

"You're being creepy as fuck. And I didn't kill them because they're just the gopher. The real mastermind is hidden away in their tiny little apartment, watching all of this unfold with their 24 inch screen monitor. I've beat them up good. And they saw me did it."

The police officer were surprised.

"And you still continue to do it."

Svetlana shrugged.

"There's a child in the store. I need to do what I can to make sure the child is fine. I'm sure as a policeman, you know how that feel."

The officer nodded.

"Yup. I know exactly what you meant, Svetlana."

The man smiled before he went inside the store again. Svetlana looks at the ring in her hands before she walks towards a staff that works at the store.

"Hey, I know the store is ruin now but how do I pay for this?"

The staff gave Svetlana a look of disbelief. The woman wonder if Svetlana doesn't feel anything after being thretened by the robbers.

"Geez- I was just asking."
