Aurora's POV
Arrogance.
People has always told me that I was too kind for my own good. But being kind is what I'm good at. Today, that is not the case anymore. Blanca and I remain seated when Damian IV enters the room with a few wardens that was believe to be the one who gave Gergio the freedom to do whatever he wants in prison.
As we made eye contact, all I can see is dogs barking at one another, licking whoever saliva that was spat on them.
"Aren't they a bit too noisy? Should we cut off their tongue?"
I shake my head no.
"If we cut off their tongue, how would they speak?"
One of the warden smirk.
"You ladies really think that you two will be able to live comfortably if something are to happen to us? You have no idea who our backer is. It's best to let us go before things turn south."
Oh- these arrogant people seems to think they are living in a fair world.
"Backer? Which one is it? The Carmichaels? Or perhaps the Rothmans? Ah! I know, maybe the Leroys and the Garcia's- did you really think being their dog would make me fear you?"
I got up from my seat and smile.
"Those people are nothing but a speck of dust."
The warden seems confused.
"How dare-"
Damian IV grabbed the warden's head before slamming it on the wall. I watched as Damian seems to be having to much fun.
"Enough. He might die from it. Any news about Gergio's brother?"
Damian IV hummed.
"He is on his way. What should I do to him?"
I turned to Blanca who used her thumb to draw an imaginary line under her neck.
"Wouldn't that be the obvious reason?"
Blanca stood up and went to my side. She grinned before forcing one of the warden to be on his knees.
"Since you like to be acquainted with criminals, I should give you the honor to be with one, yes?"
Usually I would flinched whenever Blanca got violent with someone but this time is different. I- I would like to join her insgead. Is this what it feels to finally escape the cacoon I was in?
"Aurora, I am thrill to see you find a new hobby but if you continue to bash that man's head with your pretty hands, he might die."
Huh? When did I-
"Your pretty hands are now all bruise up. Oh my- what do I do?"
Blanca seems to be having fun while blowing on my knuckles.
"Damian, start interrogating them. Once they confessed, force fhem to drink poison. If they decided to buy some time by not talking, torture them by burning their skin. And if they try to escape, break every single bones in their body before hanging their body on the ceiling."
Both Damian and Blanca were surprise. What is there to be surprise about?
"And perhaps it's better if we do something about those four families. Warning them doesn't seems to work. They killed my parents, and nowthey took Svetlana from us. If they thought they could push me around, they are wrong."
I turned my attention to the wardens.
"There's a reason why the Larove was once a family that was feared by many. They didn't let others walk all over them. The three legendary didn't let anything hurt them. They protected their family with their life. The stories, the books I read about them- they had people dance on their palm."
I smiled when I turned to Blanca.
"They started this war first, Blanca. We need to finish this."
Those four families who destroyed Larove- they shall pay. Mark my words.
A few weeks later,
"Aurora, are you alright?"
I look up to Blanca.
"You're asking about me? What about you? You haven't been eating much since yesterday. How many times have you puke yourself whenever you tried to eat just this morning?"
Blanca was about to say something when she suddenly gagged. She immediately covered her mouth before walking to the bathroom again. I've been feeling ill since the party a few days ago. Perhaps because I saw Damian killed one of the Carmichael's key family members as a warning.
But I wasn't this weak before. So why now? Not to mention that Blanca is having the same symptoms as me. We thought of something but it's impossible that both of us would-
"We really need to take the rest to make sure. I heard in some cases that the pills didn't do what they supposed to do. Besides, I bought a few of the kits for us."
Blanca walks out from the bathroom while wiping her face with a towel. We really don't have the time to worry about this though. Our revenge has just begun. We-
"Aurora, you're making that face again. It's fine. We just have to make sure."
Blanca said before handing me the test kit.
"Just pee on the stick and let's wait together."
We both went into the bathroom and took the test together. Not only I have to worry about my assignments and exams, I also need to take care of the company. Now I have to wait dor a stick to tell me if I am pregnant or not.
Honestly- too much is happening at the same time.
"Well, how long do we have to wait?"
I asked.
"A few minutes."
I watched as Blanca didn't even bother to put on her underwear as she crossed her hands in front of and wait for the result.
"What? Do you want to do it while we wait? You've been staring at me."
Blanca winked.
"Not really. Just come here and sit with me. Also wash your hands before you do."
Blanca chuckled before she wash her hands and take a seat next to me by the tub.
"Seriously though, what if we're both-"
Blanca took my hand and gave it a squeeze.
"We should both go to Lana's grave and curse her for making us this way. But, are we ready? I mean- there's a lot of things we need to take care off. Welcoming a child is not on our agenda- yet."
Blanca is right. But-
"It's something Lana left us with. Of course we keep them."
Blanca smiled.
"You're right. What was I thinking?"
I could feel how nervous Blanca is. Her hands are shaking but she tried to look fine. I place my other hand on hers before giving her a peck on the lips.
"We have each other. I'm sure we can prevail."
Blanca smiled before she took a really deep breath.
"You're right."
It's been along enough and we decided to look at the test kit together. After seeing the result, we both look at each other with our eyes widen.
