The Real You

***Shadow's POV***
After hours of continuous thinking, the full moon rose and it's light poured into my room..oh great. Pain struck me at my chest and worked it's way through my body, I could feel my muzzle pop as my fangs grew in, I quickly took of my gloves as my claws started to grow out, I hate it when the full moon comes, I used to love it until this happened to me, but I wasn't the only one suffering. I fell to my knees left claw marks trailing down the wall, once I could catch my breath I could hear Sonic's screams of pain, but he wasn't the only one screaming... Once the transformation had completed, I took a few deep breaths and pulled up all my strength and headed downstairs, I heard frantic panting and boy was the sight shocking! There laid Shade twice her size laying on the couch with her head resting on Sydney's lap, Sydney using her two fingers stroking down her head, I could feel the corner of my eye twitch at the sight, my mouth left as a gaping mess drooling. "Stay like that and you're going to flood the place with your slobber!" Sonic teased, I shut my mouth and used the back of my hand to wipe away the saliva "Shut up Faker! You would do the same!" We flinched as a blood curdling growl echoed through the house, we looked at Sydney and she held her finger to her lips "Quiet! She still needs to calm down and except her current form!" She whispered-shouted at us, we gave a simple nod and I knelt down next to her, she's gotten so big! Know I see what she was talking about, I scratched behind her ear and sat down across from Sydney "How long do you think it will take for her to except her form?" I asked worried, she shrugged "It depends. She's a strong girl, so she's going to fight until she understands how she can control herself, from my perspective... I'm afraid all night." I sighed "Thanks Sydney. You're a big help to us, I hope you know that." I thanked, she smirked "Yeah well don't thank me yet you big lug! You still owe me!" I chuckled and went to the back to talk to Sonic about tomorrow's plans, I figured if I wanted this to end, then I need to find the antidote as soon as possible.

***Sonic's POV***
After another werehog welcoming, Shadow came out and talked to me about the plan for the antidote, as time passed on, Sydney called us in "Guys! Quickly!" We came running in to see Shade waking up "huh? Where am I?...Sydney? What happened?..." She looked down at her hand to find her claws and started to freak out, Sydney did the same trick and she slowly calmed her down "It's ok! It's ok.. Calm down. it'll be over soon.." she soothed her, Shade gave light whimper noises, poor Shadow, he probably feels like it's his fault. Shade raised her head and looked to Shadow "Shadow? I thought you?-" he cut her off "I was upstairs. I came down to see if you were alright.", she got up and tackled him into a hug "Don't scare me like that ever again!" She cried, he hugged her back with his ears folded "I'm so sorry Shade. I never meant to hurt you..". I looked at (y/n) and gave her a loving hug, but she escaped my grasp and crawled onto my back and swung her legs over my shoulders "Hello!" She sang, she can be so childish sometimes, but so can I! I got on all four and ran outside and raced around laughing. I love (y/n), she's nothing but a sweet and kind girl, I'm proud to call her mine.
