Part one:
Kira's Rising
•❅───✧❅✦❅✧───❅•
The night often radiates an unsettling feeling, a world where the unknown lingers in the air.
Within the shadows, various of different malevolent creatures watch their prey patiently, waiting for the right moment to strike while making their presence known. Although monsters do reveal themselves, feeding off the fear of their victims and savoring the moment when the realization dawns on the helpless that their end is near.
This sensation excites them, pushing them to prolong the torment and manipulate their victims into believing they are even more monstrous than they are. The victims cower, afraid to step out of line, convinced that any deviation will seal their fate.
Although these monsters are often stuck up and self-centered. Believing that they are the best and that things will always turn out in their favor.
Which is why these monsters often lose in the end.
There is a different type of monster. Those who prefer to remain concealed within the darkness. These monsters make their presence known only through observation, instilling fear and uncertainty in their victims about the impending unknown. Whether something bad will happen or not
Kurayami despises this type of monster, the ones who linger in the shadows without taking action.
It terrifies her when they hide, unseen yet close enough to send shivers down her spine.
The depth within the shadows serves as a haunting reminder for her—a foreshadowing of what the future ultimately will hold, in one way or another.
Death.
Death terrifies many, for its true nature remains unknown, known only through vague guesses. Living among the uncertainty of what lies beyond this earthly life has the power to drive people insane. The inability to unravel the mystery of what awaits after life casts a daunting shadow on the human psyche, breeding fear and anxiety in the face of the unknown.
Perhaps a fraction of the fear regarding death stems from the influence of those monsters who lurk in the shadows. These creatures, ever watchful, have a liking for driving their prey to insanity before ultimately consuming them.
The thought of these monsters, ensembles a psychological torment before claiming their victims, intertwining the fear of the unknown with the unsettling presence of these destructive forces.
As she matured, Kurayami discovered another monster that proved even more harmful—a creature that feeds on deception.
Lies, she realized, were the most villainous breed of monsters. Their deceitful ways made it hard to tell what was true and what wasn't, turning things into a confusing maze where figuring out what was real became difficult. Dealing with these monsters proved more overwhelming than confronting the monsters in the shadows; their influence lingered, casting a shadow over the clarity of honest intentions.
The lying monster became the norm as most began weaving their webs of deceit, living a life full of lies. Gradually, Kurayami adapted to this new reality, turning into the very monster she loathed.
The monster who always tells lies.
Being a liar in this world proved efficient. Deception became the way to success, a tool wielded by many to seize control and instill fear in the hearts of others.
