"Another Death Note..."

Kurayami mumbled as she switched off her television, allowing the silence to envelop the room. With a sigh, she rose from her bed and made her way to the balcony doors.

Sliding them open, she stepped outside, inhaling the crisp night air as she leaned against the railing, her gaze fixed on the tranquil street below.

A broadcast that had been aired on Sakura TV at six o'clock this evening had proved the existence of yet another Kira. She had wondered when that tape would be aired.

When looking back she had a vague idea of when but setting a time on a certain incident was difficult.

She closed her eyes, savoring the sensation of the air sweeping through her hair, gently lifting it with each passing breeze. As a stronger gust swept by, she couldn't help but ponder aloud to herself.

"I wonder what he's going to do about it," she mumbled, her voice barely audible over the whisper of the wind. She continued to gaze out over the quiet neighborhood she called home, lost in her thoughts.

Both Kuaraymi and her twin brother were wanted at the Kira investigations headquarters the next day, probably because of the tape aired the other night.

Kurayami tried to see if she could tell what Light was thinking by looking at him, but he was so good at shutting off his emotions she couldn't tell what was on his mind. The shinigami though, was chuckling all the way there, seeming to be in an awfully good mood this morning.

L shook Light's hand when he entered the room. The two exchanged greetings to one another and the L moved over to Kurayami.

He reached out and took her hand, his grasp firmer than she had anticipated. The cold touch of his pale hand was not unexpected though, sending a shiver down her spine as she felt the chill seep into her own warmth. "You have rather cold hands," She remarked, placing her other hand on top of his, trying to warm it up a bit. "Have you ever tried gloves?"

He looked down at her curiously, before opening his mouth to reply. "Yes, but never indoors," he answered slowly, studying her face.

She cursed herself for being so blunt again, maybe he was insecure about his hands and she pointing it out only added to the insecurity. Screwing up seemed to be her specialty.

She quickly withdrew her hand, offering him an apologetic smile before diverting her gaze elsewhere. The prolonged eye contact had unsettled her and her stupid remark embarrassed her, so she found it much easier to look away.

The rest of the task force introduced themselves before L asked Light and Kurayami to look at a few tapes that were aired last night, the ones regarding the fake Kira.

After they had watched the tape L approached them once more, asking for what they both thought of it and if they had come to any conclusion.

"Well, I don't know how to explain it, but something feels off about Kira. My impression of him doesn't match up with these tapes. I think it's a possibility this one is a fake." Kurayami answered, unsure of how she could explain her theory without revealing too much information.

Light agreed with her, placing out all the information he could get from the tape and also his theories behind them. It was no doubt that the task force seemed impressed with the two.
