Taylor
I really have been struggling with how awkward my friendship with both Kay and Wayne has been. After the movie night, we tried to get back to our usual selves and do things the way we used to, but it's not the same. Part of me wishes I had never told Kay how I felt. Then we would not have had that awkward kiss, and now we can't look each other in the eye, and we argue a lot more. And Wayne, I know he has my back no matter what, but I don't even know how to talk to him now that he may have feelings for me. It was messing with me, and not in a good way. It's a blessing in disguise that Kay has gone back to ignoring me and hanging out more with his other friends. I'm still trying to figure out how to deal with the new normal. I was at home relaxing on my day off. I was hella bored and actually wanted to go out. There was a knock on my door, and I got up to answer it. It was my girl Nichole at the door. It was funny she popped up just when I needed something to do. I opened the door and let her in.
"Hey, Tay," she says, walking into my living room
"What's up"
"You have been missing in action lately, heifer, so you tell me, what's up."
"Girl, I have just been working and staying to myself' I reply
"I understand that.'
"So how is it going with K going from your client to your boo," I ask
"It's almost not too different, and I can't stand this one groupie. She always seems to be around."
"Damn girl, he entertains this witch?"
"He used to, so it does affect my feelings sometimes, but I'm trying to trust him."
"Hey, I understand."
"So you feel like going out tonight," she asks
"Sure, I need some fun in my life."
"Great. I'll pick you up in a couple of hours, so get ready," Nicole says before leaving.
I locked the door after her and decided to get ready.

Later that night
I was dressed and ready to go when my phone rang, and Nicole told me she was outside. I went out to meet her after locking my door behind me. After getting in her car and greeting her, we made our way to where we were going. It's a short drive before she pulls up in front of a lounge we frequently visit. We grabbed drinks from the bar and headed to the VIP area, already waiting for us.
"So, K is Performing tonight?" I ask
"No, but a friend of mine is having an event."
"Oh, okay, cool."
I say while sipping my drink. A dude comes up on stage, and he starts his set. I sit in my seat, just vibing to his music. Nic disappears for a while, but I don't mind. It felt good to not be stressed for one night. After the dude's set is over, Nicole comes back.
"Hey, Tay, I'd like to introduce you to Dave."
"Hi, I'm Taylor"
I say, then I realize it was the guy from the stage."
"I like your music."
He smiles
"I'm glad you like it."
He sits next to me, and the next thing I know, Nicole disappears again, but I don't mind; I was enjoying my conversation with Dave.
"So, you, Nic, hang out a lot? Dave asks me
