Chapter 13

Shit, shit, shit, shit, shitttt.

Of course he forgot to change back after using Kayano's quirk. Now, he was really in a bind.

Alright, breathe, he thought, struggling to calm down. He took stock of what he had on: contacts and Midoriya's shoes. This was a moment to put his quick thinking to use.

What if I just... killed them? No, no—he had been hanging out with Karma way too much. He shook the thought away and focused on Bitch-Sensei's acting lessons.

Thankfully, his mental panic didn't last long, as the figures in front of him hadn't moved yet.

"Answer my question, or I'll report you to the pros," one of them demanded.

The hall was dark, but Nagisa could make out two figures. With the yellow hair and glowing eyes, he quickly identified them as Tokoyami and Kaminari. He couldn't afford for them to recognize him.

He forced himself to speak. "U-uhm... Is this the 1-A dorms? I-I think I'm lost. Does Izuku Midoriya live here?"

Hopefully, that'll work, he thought.

He was wrong.

"What? Yes, these are the 1-A dorms... Who are you?" Kaminari asked, clearly suspicious. Nagisa noticed faint sparks of electricity along his body, casting an eerie light.

"I'm M-Midoriya's brother! I came to... get the computer he left in his room," Nagisa stammered, trying to keep his nerves in check.

He felt panic creeping back as Tokoyami's intense gaze fell on him. The dim light from Kaminari's electricity only heightened their suspicions.

"Oh, you're Midoriya's brother?" Kaminari's tone softened slightly, but the sparks didn't let up.

"Y-Yeah," Nagisa replied, playing up the nervous act. "I don't visit often, and I got here late. I thought I'd surprise him. He left his computer, and I thought I'd bring it back for him."

Kaminari's eyes narrowed. "Midoriya never mentioned having a brother."

Nagisa's mind raced. "We're not that close. He's always so focused on hero stuff, you know? But I thought this would be a nice gesture."

Tokoyami's eyes remained fixed on him, and Nagisa could sense their growing wariness. He knew his luck was running out. Bitch-Sensei would kill him if she found out he'd failed to play a role convincingly.

But then, he noticed that Tokoyami and Kaminari both looked exhausted. Whatever they'd been through, they didn't seem prepared for a fight. This might just work in his favor.

He remembered the smoke bomb Okuda and Smog had helped him create. Perfect, he thought, a plan forming.

"Oh! I just remembered something!" he said, putting on a smile.

"And what might that be?" Tokoyami replied, still cautious.

"I have a photo of me and him together!" he said, reaching for his bag. "Let me just get it out..."

Kaminari and Tokoyami glanced at each other, seemingly appeased. They nodded, allowing him to reach into his bag.

Nagisa's hand found the smoke bomb, and with a slight grin, he activated it.
