"What the hell kind of scenario is this?!" Maehara cried out one day, reading a new chapter in 'Koro-sensei's Rules to Live By'

It was the weekend at The House, and the kids were scattered around, a couple of them in the living room. Fuwa and Meg had just brought back food from outside, and the kids decided to sit down and read a chapter from Koro-sensei's book.

"Uh, what kind of imagination did he have?" Nakamura laughed, sitting on the couch.

'You're being held hostage and the choice is you or 30 civilians. One of you has to die.' The book read, and the kids scoffed.

"Me of course." Nagisa said, and at the same time, Karma responded with, "The civilians."

The two of them looked at eachother, dumbfounded.

"Why the hell would you sacrifice yourself?" Karma asked, turning to Nagisa. "Aren't you going to be a hero or something?"

"First of all, he's not becoming a pro hero." Yoshida rolled his eyes, and Itona laughed.

"I mean, it's 30 people! That's a lot!" Nagisa defended, looking at his friends. "Wouldn't you guys feel the same?"

The room went silent for a second, all the kids contemplating what to say.

"Well, you're the hero here, right?" Maehara asked.

"Yeah..." Okano said, furrowing her brows.

"So would you choose you, the hero who could save more people, or 30 civilians who are normal?" Karma pointed out.

"You're not just thinking about numbers," Nagisa said, his voice steady. "It's about the value of each life. Every life matters, and I don't know if I could live with myself if I chose to sacrifice 30 people."

"But think about it," Karma said, leaning forward with a serious expression. "If you save the civilians, there's a chance you could still help more people in the future. If you die, you're just... gone."

"That's a good point," Okuda said, looking up from her food.

"So, if it were you, Karma, would you choose the civilians?" Yada asked, her voice curious.

"Well, in a twisted way, yeah," Karma admitted, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. "If I can save more lives in the long run, it's a sacrifice I'd consider. But it's not like I'm gonna be happy about it."

"I have to agree with Karma here. If we can save more people in the future, wouldn't it be better?" Meg said, shifting in her seat.

"Sounds like a tough choice," Okano said, her tone reflective. "But isn't there always a chance for a different outcome? Maybe we shouldn't just accept the scenario as it is."

"True," Nagisa nodded, looking thoughtful. "Knowing all we've gone through, we would probably find another way"

"So, you're saying you'd look for an alternative solution?" Isogai asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Absolutely," Nagisa said, nodding firmly. "There always is."

"Okay, but let's say there really is no alternative," Maehara said, leaning forward with a serious expression. "Wouldn't you want to be the one who made a difference, even if it meant sacrificing yourself?"

"That's a heavy thought," Kayano said softly. "I mean, I get where Nagisa is coming from. Saving 30 people is a huge deal."

"But it's also about who you are," Nakamura added. "If you're a hero, you're supposed to put others first. It's part of the job."

"But we're not heroes." Itona said bluntly. "We're assassins."

"Yeah..." Nagisa agreed. "It depends on the situation I guess."

"So, if you had to make the choice, what would you do?" Okano asked, her eyes meeting Nagisa's.

"Honestly?" Nagisa said, his voice contemplative. "I want to save as many good people as I can" He said, looking at his hands.

---------------------------------------

Nagisa Shiota was not going to give up. His knees had just buckled after taking a hit from Takaoka, and from the look in his eyes, he wasn't going to stop until Nagisa was dead. Through his ringing ears, he heard one of his classmates scream his name, and if things couldn't get any worse, he was sure that Kayano's quirk was going to run out sometime soon.

He was in quite the situation indeed.

He stood back up, ignoring the dizziness in his head. He bit his tongue to ignore the pain, and he could taste the blood on his tongue. Nagisa waved off his friends as if to say 'I'm fine,' So that they wouldn't risk getting hurt for him.

Breathing heavily, Nagisa struggled to get back to his feet. He could feel the stinging pain from multiple impacts, but his resolve remained unshaken. Takaoka, seeing Nagisa's condition, momentarily hesitated.

"You never give up do you? And I must say, you have gotten better." Takaoka said, wiping sweat off his forehead.

He growled and attempted a sweeping low kick. Nagisa leapt over it, landing gracefully on the other side. He moved in with a series of rapid, precise strikes. His hits were textbook perfect, and he was a tiny bit proud to show Mr. Karasuma the new moves he'd been working on during training.

At this point, Nagisa had completely forgotten about his quirk. Everything about the scene-- his classmates, tecahers, and Takaoka, still on that rooftop.

As he was fighting Takaoka, he could feel himself getting stronger. His reflexes were slowly getting faster, and as he grew, he suddenly remembered something Takaoka had said to him before the fight.

"Don't you dare even try getting your friends involved." Takaoka whispered, getting too close to Nagisa's ear for comfort. "I still have things planned for them."

Nagisa grimaced at the reminder, while dodging a left hook from his opponent. As the fight went on, his adrenaline made him faster. He quickly delivered a kick right to Takaoka's midsection, when he staggered back and pulled out a familiar red remote from his pocket.

"Alright," Takaoka said, his breath heavy. He coughed, and specks of blood were seen coming out from his mouth. "Let's make a deal."

Before Nagisa could even react, Takaoka leaped forward towards him, flashing the remote in his face. "I planned this for along time. Surrender now and your friends won't be blown to bits." He smirked, and Nagisa wanted to spit in his face just then and there.

Nagisa's eyes locked onto Takaoka's, his mind reeling with the weight of the choice he was being forced to make. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself as he thought of his friends' faces, each one filled with fear and concern.

He knew that his friends couldn't hear what Takaoka was offering him. He knew that if they heard, they would be against it. He knew that they wouldn't let this happen.

His chest felt heavy, this was just like last time. How could he be so stupid? How could he fall for the same trap?

Ah, he really would have saved those 30 people, wouldn't he?
