When it was Monday, I didn't go find my friend and sit with them. Instead I tried to find either Percy's curly brown haired friend who seemed quite nice or even Jason, he might know something, maybe. But at last, I couldn't find any of them, instead I almost ran into Will. "Do you know where Percy's friend... umm, the one with the curly brown hair is? Or even Jason." Will gave me a look, "Why are you looking for them, my sweet little ray of sunshine. Also, didn't I tell Jason to stay away from you?" I rolled my eyes, "Sunshine, really?" I saw Will's face turn red, "Anyways, well yes, you did tell Jason to stay away from me... but it wasn't his fault! I swear it!"
Will sighed, "No, I haven't seen them and I would advise you to stay away from them. I don't want you hurt, Nico." I sighed, "I won't get hurt and it wasn't Jason who hurt me." Will gave me a look, "You got hurt so much in the time you've been at this school." I shrugged and Will continued, "Then who was it that hurt you that day?" I tried to remember who it was that hurt me that day, "I think it was one of Percy's friends." I told my boyfriend. Will sighed, "Your not sure when one, are you?" "Jason was there, Jason would know who it was." I told Will who shook his head, "I wouldn't trust him if I was you." The bell had rang so we walked inside the school, my only luck to talk to Jason was in my English class and for talking to the other boy, well my chances of that are lower than the chances of talking to Jason.
First, I have to deal with Percy in history. When me and Will walked into the class, Percy had glared at me, I saw that the bruise on his eye started to fade some. "What are you looking at, di Angelo!" Percy yelled at me. I just looked away and shook my head and sat down. I had really wanted to punch him in the face, but he had been through so much already. "What? Too sacred to face me?" I just looked at Percy, "Ha, I thought so." "Shut up or you're going to regret it." I said to him, glaring at him. "Nico, no." I heard Will say and I took a deep breath and flipped Percy off before the teacher walked into the class and the class started.
When class had ended, I walked into the hallway and it was like people knew that I had visions or something if I touched them since everyone started bumping into me and it felt like my mind was being ripped to shreds since like every second someone else would bump into me. I felt my eyes start to water up and I felt like screaming. I had no idea if I actually screamed though.
The next thing I knew is that my mind in fact did not rip into a million pieces and I saw one vision/flashback rather than 8 trillion at the same time. Thank god!
"Headmaster, it wasn't me who did it to Vanellope! I swear it!" It was Jason talking to the headmaster from his old school, "You can talk to her about it-" The headmaster cut Jason off, "Mr. Grace, we can't talk to Miss. Castellan because you had put her in the hospital and the doctors put her in a coma because of the state she's in." Jason was standing up from the chair he was sitting on, "Headmaster, sir, I was framed! I-I would never do anything to my sweet Vanellope! She means the world to me! Wait... she's in a coma?" The headmaster sighed, "I'm sorry Mr. Grace, until we can determine that your innocence, we're going to have to expel you from our school." Jason had slammed his hands on the headmasters desk and Jason quickly took his hands off the desk, "Sorry.. but headmaster, it wasn't me, please don't expel me!" The headmaster just looked at him, "It's not under negotiation Mr. Grace, now get your stuff packed. We will try to get you home by the end of the week."
Then my vision/flashback switched.
"This isn't a good idea." It was my Mom talking to my Dad. "This is the only idea I have left, do you want our son to die?" My Dad had asked my Mom who shook her head no but then answered with, "But I don't want to take another variant of Nico's life away from them just so our son can keep his life, that just isn't fair." My Dad had looked at my Mom with tears in his eyes, I had also saw that my Mom was crying, "Please let me do this. We-I-Nico needs to live." My Mom sighed, "I just hope the price you're willing to pay is worth it."
When my eyes opened, the first thing I smelled was blood, so I'm guessing my nose is bleeding or was bleeding and I had the taste of metallic blood in my mouth. I groaned when I sat up and looked around to where I was at. I was on the couch at my house. When had I got here? I got up and off the couch and went to the kitchen and saw my Mom, "Nico, honey. You're awake." She looked at me, "Are you feeling alright?" My Mom felt my forehead and I backed away, "I'm fine Mom." Then I heard my Dad come downstairs and saw that I was awake, he had also felt my forehead, "Are you feeling okay, Nico? Are you experiencing anything strange?" I looked between my Mom and my Dad. Strange? What's more strange then how they are acting now, but then I remembered the vision I had. I didn't answer any of my Dad's questions and I walked outside and into town.
When I got into town, I looked at a glass window and I saw my reflection, well it wasn't really my reflection, it was the the girl version of myself and it looked almost as if she was mouthing the words "Your time is almost up." Which sent a shiver up my spine so I walked away from the building.
