Horses (Yeah, That's It. Horses)

"Nico? You okay?" Bianca asked me when I emerged from my room, "You don't look too good." I shrugged her off. I haven't sleep in the past few days in hope that I wouldn't get anymore visions. Right now, it's working. "Nico." Bianca tried to get my attention so I looked over at her, "You okay?" I nodded at sat down on the stool and I rubbed my eyes. "Do we have any energy bars I can drink and milk I can eat?"

Bianca just looked at me and chuckled, "I'm sorry, what?" I sighed, "Do we have any energy bars I can eat and milk I can drink?" I asked her again. Bianca nodded and got some for me. What a great big sister she is. "Thanks." I said to her and ate the food and drank the milk. "Anything else you need?" She asked me and I thought for a moment. I shook my head and Bianca ruffled my hair, "Mom and Dad left a few hours ago since they had to go to a meeting and I'll be spending the night at my friend's house. Don't burn the house down little bro." I groaned and smacked Bianca's hand away from my hair, "Okay, okay!" When Bianca left, my friends texted me and I grabbed the Halloween costume that I got and locked the door, grabbed my keys and walked over to Hazel's house. I soon realized that I couldn't walk to Hazel's house so I called Will and asked him if I could get a ride there. Of course, Will being will he said yes.

When his parents dropped us off, my mouth dropped to the floor. Holy shit! Hazel's house is huge! She lived in the countryside of Austin and I looked around and saw that she had two horses and a dog. "Great house, right?" Will asked me and I just nodded. We walked inside and Will brought me to the living room where our friends were. I looked up and the ceiling. It was as tall as the second story of my house.

I sat down on the ground and leaned against the couch. "So, since where all here." Hazel started, "And since we have a while until dark." Jason chimed in, "A long while. It's like only 11." Hazel nodded, "A long while, so what should we do to pass the time?" We decided on watching a lot of Halloween movies until we got bored. After like a few movies, we all got bored so we went outside to meet Hazel's horses. When we got over to the stables, Hazel called up the horses and brought one out and tied her up to the pole. "This is MJ." Hazel told me and I pet MJ. She was a brown house with a whistle legging on her front right leg and a star on her forehead. MJ's mane lays on the left side of her.

"Who's the other one?" Jason asked, looking at the other horse who's still in a stall. "That's Parker." Hazel answered him. I looked at Parker and saw that he was a tan horse with two white socks on both of his back legs and a blaze going across his face. Parker's mane lays on the right side of him. I continued to pet MJ when Hazel came next to and asked, "Have you ever ridden a horse?" I shook my head and she asked, "Do you want to ride one?" I thought for a moment and nodded, "Sure." Hazel made sure I was wearing jeans and a form of closed toed shoes before brushing down MJ and putting on the saddle along with the bridle. She lead the horse outside the barn then told me to get on.

Will had to help me get onto the horse but after that, I walked around the smallest pasture on the horse. Will was riding next to me on Parker while the others walked beside us. Everything was going fine until...

MJ got spooked and started galloping around and I fell from the saddle, my foot got caught in the stirrups but quickly got lose and hit I the ground and I felt a sharp pain in my right arm. "NICO!" I heard Jason yell running to me along with the others, Hazel went to go catch the horse. Jason knelt down beside me, "Are you okay!?" He helped me up and I nodded, "I'm fine." I told him holding my right arm. Will got off Parker and looked over at Jason, "Take Nico inside, me and Hazel will be there in a minute." Jason took my left hand and brought me inside the house and sat me down on the couch.

"Nico, are you sure you're okay?" Frank asked me looking at my right hand pressing down on it and I yelped in pain and took my arm away from him. "I think you might have a broken bone or at least a fractured bone." I whined, "Nooo! I can't have a fractured or broken bone!" I looked down at my arm which was swelling up some. "Leo, get some ice will you?" Frank asked Leo who ran to get ice then Frank asked Jason, "Get something to make a sling." Jason ran off to get something and Frank looked at me.

After Frank put ice on my arm for a while, Hazel and Will came back inside and put a makeshift sling on my arm, which Will had to redo since apparently he did it wrong.

I let out a shaky breath that I didn't realize I was holding in and I leaned against Will who wrapped his arm around me. "You okay, Ghost King?" He asked me and I simply nodded. I looked at the clock and we had a few more hours until we would want to go to Halloween, I'm not sure how this day could get any worse.
