*Jacks POV*
Dekoda and I laughed as we hopped into the car. She pulled out of the drive way quickly, turning on the radio as she did so. "This station sucks" Dekoda murmured softly. When we reached a stoplight she picked up a CD a inserted it into the slot.
There were little whirring and spinning noises, followed by the familiar notes of American Idiot by Green Day. Dekoda smiled at the road ahead of her, singing along with the song. I joined in loudly, making her laugh.
Dekoda and I had always been pretty close friends. She would always tell me her problems and stuff, and I did the same. She was smart and sensible, as well as funny. And she was kind of cute, too. I soaked in her features for a few moments.
She had long, cherry red hair with strands of black, making her icy blue eyes stand out. Her thin body was covered in beautiful ink; tatts that I knew held meaning to her. A Pierce The Veil shirt and black ripped skinny jeans covered her body, only revealing her ivory arms, which also held ink.
The car came to a stop and Dekoda was up and out of the car in a matter of seconds. I ran to catch up with her. "So what's up Kodes?" I asked her casually. She shrugged. "Nothing much. What about you?" She asked nudging my arm. "Any new girls?" She grinned.
I thought about it for a second. "Kind of. There is one girl. I don't think she likes me though..." I trailed off, looking at the ground. "Really? Why not?" She wondered out loud. I looked at her. "She's out of my league" I replied truthfully. We walked through the doors of the store, Dekoda grabbing a little basket as we did.
"Alright, I have to go get girl stuff for Kayak and myself, so you can go get stuff for you and Alex" she said. I agreed with a smile and watched her walk away. Damn, she was pretty. I walked around the store aimlessly, thinking about stuff Alex and I might need. I decided on a few bottles of hairspray and some cologne.
One other thing grabbed my attention as I walked around to search for Dekoda. I picked a few up and continued my hunt. When I finally found her, I quietly snuck up on her. "WHATCHYA LOOKING AT?" I yelled almost directly in her ear. Dekoda screeched and turned around to push me.
"You little shit!" She hissed. I laughed as she examined the items I had picked up, putting them in the basket. She froze at the last item, blushing a deep red. "Um, why...?" She questioned, holding up one of the boxes of condoms.
"I think your brother is going to need them" I winked. She punched my arm. "Jack! That's so gross!" She groaned. "What? You're not telling me you think nothing is going to happen, are you?" I asked in disbelief. "No. I know something is going to happen, but I'm not exactly fond of the thought of my brother boning my best friend" she muttered in disgust.
Her word choice sent me into a fit of laughter. "Come on you freak" Dekoda laughed, pulling me to the check out stand. After we payed for all of our stuff, we made our way back out to the parking lot.
"So. Are there any new guys in your life?" I inquired. Dekoda maneuvered the car smoothly out of the parking lot while thinking. "Maybe" was all she said. "Ooh Dekoda, I know there's something you're not telling me!" I giggled. She blushed again and I thought I saw a little sparkle in her eyes. She turned to me.
"Why do you want to know?" She asked with a sly grin. "I might know someone who's interested" I looked at her, trying to contain my desire. Her ruby lips were perfectly shaped, getting more tempting by the second.
She looked at me in surprise. "Really? Do I know him? Who is he?" She grilled me with questions. "Yeah he thinks you're adorable. And you know him pretty well. Actually, you guys talk a lot. But I can't tell you who he is. He might get mad at me" I fed her a few hints. Her lips were driving me crazy.
We drove in silence for a few seconds until we reached the house. The sun was setting, but the night was still warm with a little breeze, slightly blowing Dekoda's hair around. "This guy-" she hesitated, "is he in a band?" She asked quietly, hopefully, understanding my hints. "Yeah." I said in a hushed tone.
She opened the car door and slid out, and I did the same. I walked around to her side of the car where she stood still. "He really likes you, Kodes" I whispered, inches from her face. Dekoda looked at me with her perfect blue eyes. Flecks of green sparkled in them.
"I think I like him too" she whispered. I leaned in towards her, almost tasting her lips when I was interrupted by a scream from inside the house. Dekoda started walking quickly towards the house, but stopped half way to turn and look at me. She walked over to me and stopped in front of me. She placed a hand on either side of my face and planted a soft kiss on my cheek.
Then she turned and ran to the door, swinging it open, and stopping awkwardly in her tracks. "Um...do you want us to leave?" I heard her say. What was going on?
(A/N: So I know this chapter was really long, but hopefully it was okay! Leave a comment on what you think so far! Thanks again!)
